Surprisingly, I didn't hear about this event until earlier this week (I thought it was weird
Naruto would be getting an event and not OP :p).
Jinboucho is having an event much like the
Kimi ni todoke event that I attended last year. Several stores are participating in the love of One Piece from July 17th until August 1st.
Unfortunately, certain events like when they'll display artwork, selling special food or displaying movies happen only during the weekends. I may not be able to make the 31st event so I figured I'd post what I was able to see from my little adventure there. Enjoy the pics!

Love the Chopper Cake, looks so cute XD Thank you for the pics!
Thanks for the excellent pics! :D
so much One Piece love!
We had some of the food too! (strawhat omelette, meat, powder snow, Nami mikan parfait, Franky's coke+coconut drink, Bellemere's mikan drink, Franky's fries, more meat...)
It tasted way better than it looked:)
and it was so cute how they charged everything in Beli instead of yen...
But the best thing was the artwork...
They had like every single color Oda has ever done on display...
and they were the real deal, you know, like, not photo copies but the actual ones he drew on....!
They also had some of the more poignant/popular scenes from the manga as well...
They had pencil markings by Oda showing what lines go where and things like that on the side, and official printed in WSJ stamps on them...
I wish I could stayed and stared at each picture....
seeing them life size? in person like that made everything look a hundred times better.... Everything is so big and clear and the colors are so much more vibrant than on the comp and even in the Color Walks, totally incomparable....
I feel like I love OP even more now <3
I wonder where those are usually kept...Oda's house or somewhere?
I want to see them again someday...
Also the Shueisha building (Jinbocho is where the WSJ company's building is at) was interesting...It was just like on TV...there was a Kimi ni Todoke live-action movie poster, Naruto movie poster, and Gintama movie poster at the reception desk...
still had a good time
