This is the latest story of the famous "Ninpo-cho" series of Yamada Fuutarou. It begins in 1638, during the Shimabara Rebellion, where a powerful swordsman who should have died is instead transformed by an arcane ritual into a demonic creature. As time passes, more swordsman facing death go through this transformation. What could these new, demonic swordsmen be planning?

Keyman is the resident hero of Rockville City, a place inhabited by both humans and animal people. In the years since his debut as a hero, crime has decreased significantly, which does not look all that great for the local police force. But one day, after he catches yet another group of criminals, Keyman is mysteriously murdered. Detective Alex and his police force are investigating the murder, and one of their major clues is the words "Dr. Necro," which were carved onto Keyman's body after his death. Their case gets even stranger when Alex unexpectedly meets "Dr. Necro," who appears to be a young girl, in a bar. What monster could be behind the murder of Keyman, and what does the childlike Dr. Necro have to do with it all?

Makoto lives an ordinary life with his father and little sister, after the death of his mother. He spends his days doing the same things-- going to school, talking with his friends, hanging out with his girlfriend, and spending time with his family. One day, though, after he rescues a bird from an attacking crow, things take a very different turn. First, his girlfriend breaks up with him, and then, later that night, he's in a terrible traffic accident while running an errand.

He awakes in a strange place, with several people and the bird he saved earlier, which now appears to speak English. They explain that he is not yet quite dead, but not necessarily alive, either. The bird offers him a deal: If he works as their miracle deliveryman, he can earn back his life. As a miracle deliveryman, Makoto re-enters the world as a kind of ghost, providing people with letters or packages that give them just what they need in a difficult time.

Murakami Yashiro lives a pretty isolated life and is more interested in virtual girls than in the real thing. One day, his grandfather changes his life forever by throwing him into an all-girls school that he happens to run. His grandfather is determined to have Yashiro get himself a real girl, and therefore not bring shame on their family's name. To that end, he makes a school rule that seducing Yashiro is a requirement for anyone to take the coveted position of student council president. To gauge the success of female candidates, his grandfather puts an erotic meter on Yashiro's forehead, which hits 100% at a successful seduction.

Many girls are eager to use Yashiro to acquire the position of student council president, and the current president, Masamune Momiji, will have her hands full trying to keep Yashiro's attention and her rank. Yashiro has a huge crush on Momiji, but would she ever see him as anything other than a means to preserving her position?

This is what tethysdust said this week:
This week, Kuusou Yuubinkyoku was my favorite. It's not a completely unique kind of premise, but I really enjoyed learning about people's lives and seeing what they would receive for help. There's also a potentially cool continuing story with learning about the god-like beings that 'hired' him and what happened to other workers to get them in this situation, not to mention seeing how the main character interacts with the real world. Keyman might also be a neat one to check out; it's pretty action-packed and fast-paced from what I read.

My opinion:
Keyman: The Hand of Judgement sounds like it might be an interesting mystery. Stravaganza - Isai no Hime also piqued my interest - why would a ruler hide her identity?
