ROOKIES chapter 55
*First time Translator, any tips appreciated*
*Also, I cannot for the life of me translate the marked katakana, any help is appreciated*
This was posted in the translator request thread, and so I thought I'd give it a go. Names are carried over from last chapter.
Chapter 55: Kira Kira (Glittering)
Aniya: You guys got it? Absolute Victory!
Wakana: Like usual. What are you fired up about this time?
Hiratsuka: Probably about you, bastard!
Okada: Shut up! I’m getting confused who’s speaking…
Aniya: Hey idiots, who’s batting?
Aniya: You guys are wasting time! Isn’t anyone willing to do it? Wakana will go next! Fourth is…
Aniya: I will fucking go!
Hiratsuka: I know that!
Wakana: What are you getting mad at?
Aniya: All right! I’m gonna make this back-to-back homeruns at bat!
Wakana: Damn it, I’m definitely gonna beat him up!
(Pitcher lobs the ball over Aniya’s head)
Aniya: Ah, you bastard….
Okada: I don’t understand what’s with that guy…
Kawatou: Ha Ha Ha.
Kawatou: Ok, now the other team is running away.
Crowd: We’re waiting to see it! We want to see that violent swing!
Umpire: Ball Four!
Aniya: Dammit!
Crowd: All right, a runner on base! Keep it Up!
Martial Artist #1: Do you know? Today the Baseball Club is having a match!
Martial Artist #2: Seriously?
Martial Artist #1: What relief team is seriously taking a chance with them? Should we go and watch?
Martial Artist #2: Don’t joke. You’ll only say “What the hell am I watching?” and see things go everywhere as long as Wakana is nearby…
M 1&2: !!!! ….
(Aniya steals 2nd) Ump: Strike! Batter Out!
Wakana: What? Is it okay to steal during a strikeout? Did you forget the rules?
Kawatou: Ahaha!
Okada: Don’t “ahaha” this!
Touko: We’re in a Scoring Position! Do your best! (to Hiratsuka)
Hiratsuka: Touko-chan…I…
Hiratsuka: Uohh!!!
Ump: Strike! Strike! Strike! (Hirama, Hiratsuka and Okada all strike out) Batter Out!
(Yufune?): You bastard. The 3 of you are nothing but strike-outs.
Okada: That guy’s ball kept on curving.
Aniya: Don’t worry about the strike-outs, it’s only the 4th inning.
Okada: Aniya…
Kawatou: Okay, we haven’t changed pitchers yet. Next is (#8)…(ka ki ku ke ko sa shi su se…(he’s going through the Japanese alphabet)) Sekikawa.
Sekikawa: Ah, I’m good. Pass.
Team: Huh?
Sekikawa: I’m liking Center. To tell you the truth, it’s sort of like a wide (トコ/space) that only I can guard.
Kawatou: Sekikawa…
Sekikawa: Hehe
Kawatou: I see. Then it’s Hiyama.
Hiyama: I understand.
Wakana: You bastard, just pass.
Kawatou: Then Okada is shortstop I guess. After this is #10…hmm, it’s going off a little.
Aniya: It’s puzzling work, isn’t it? I have a suggestion.
Aniya: You guys are becoming used to your (トコ/space?) and it seems that it’s easiest for Imaoka and Okada to protect it since they both have foundations in that position. I think we should switch it up.
Hiratsuka: Ho ho, so you’re trying to be the boss without having to deal with criticism and discipline. So we should just follow what you want to do?
Mikoshiba: Yeah. Aniya’s words make sense. I also think we should switch positions. I don’t really have a feel for these things I think.
Touko: Me too…
Wakana: Okay, then this time, let’s go.
Team: Oh!
Kawatou: Uhh…Hey! ….
Okada: What’s with that face?
Okada: It can’t be helped that (ドシロウト) wants to use (their/it’s/his?) head.
Okada: Today’s (トコ) is a specialist in entrusting things to one another.
Kawatou: Okada…
Okada: We became who we are because of Sensei’s request. For that reason, don’t worry about everyone and let us do things the way we like to.
Okada: Well, just watch. I’m sure the pitcher is going to have fun.
Kawatou: …
Ikebe: Hahaha, you’ve gotten 1 run Kawatou-kun?
Kawatou: Ah, Kyoutou-sensei!
Ikebe: Hou, this is a good match isn’t it? It seems like you’re good at this, doesn’t it?
Kawatou: Of course.
Ump: Batter up!
Wakana: Hold up for a second.
Wakana: Let’s fucking go you bastards!
Team: …. Ouh!!
Kawatou: Ohhh!!!
Ump: Play ball!
Hiyama: Haha, Let’s fucking go!

Ikebe: The headmaster should also come here. There are 9 glittering players here…
Kawatou: Hey, do you know? These guys, with those faces, can do it…
Touko: Sensei…
Ikebe: But you know, 9 people isn’t enough by one person.
Kawatou: Huh?
Kawatou: That these guys all have their eyes on one thing isn’t enough? The baseball club is…
Ikebe: Hu hu…Come to think of it, there’s another…
Kawatou: ?
Ikebe: There’s 10 people’s eyes focused on something…

Also, keep seperate bubbles seperate. I'm having a bit of trouble trying to figure out what goes where at the moment, only 3 pages into it :)
I could use some clarification on a part so far.
On page 3(page 143 of the raw) the Umpire yells "Ball Four". Is that in the one bubble, or split over two bubbles? If it's in the one bubble, what's the second thing say? "Walk"?
Edit : Well it's pretty much ready, apart from the one page that has the text I mentioned above and this text on it.

I'm kinda stumped on what to do, especially with that first line. Hopefully you can get that cleared up.
Edit 2: For those interested in seeing the scanned version. Here is version 0.
The bubbles that contain the stuff I queried about are empty for now, hence v0 since it shouldn't be a proper version. Just uploaded it so people can read without having to flip back and forth.
I have around 5 typesetters willing/ready, and a couple QCers too.

Uh i've never cleaned before, so i just followed some tutorials and used common sense.
We'll probably end up doing this if you don't want to carry on helping out in the future, but if you do, it'll be a lot easier?
'Do Shirouto' means 'Total amateur'. In context, probably more like, 'A total amateur'.
トコ can mean lots of things, usually 'time', but probably not here. I think that last time, it just means 'guy'. I don't think anyone would complain if you kept it as 'space' the first two times, then 'that guy' the third time.
