Go Go! Pudding Empire 32

p047
Pudding Empire Corps Commander, Belmus.

Despite having the status of a Corps Commander; in order to support Piro Piro Snackbar's Miss Taeko, he lives an every day life devoid of luxury.

The 19-year old appartment where he lives.

Oh man I'm starving--

I shouldn't have eaten that entire onigiri I bought at the convenience store yesterday.

Man I can't wait for the end of the month--

I'd best wait until next month to buy Taeko's ring…

p048
That makes 3 litres of water today.

(but there's always room for more, water is fundamental in order to survive)
(what a go-getter)

...no matter how often I look, it stays empty.

If only I could have a taste of my own Belmus maki now...

(nori, mayonnaise)
(rice)

(specialty)
(a good solution if you don't have any money by the end of the month) (cost of ingredients: 7 yen)

The Belmus Maki. A sushi roll with nothing else on it but mayonnaise. Belmus' own original invention.

(white)

That's right... People used to say, that drifters out on sea ate tooth paste to endure their hunger.

(staaaare)

Bah... What am I thinking. I'm no drifter.

(no way in hell am I doing something like that!!)

p049
M... Maybe I'll just have a nibble.

(lick)

(munch munch munch)

IT'S NO USE!!

NO USE AT ALL--!!

WHAT AM I DOING!?

(sure is useless alright...)

(knock knock)

Mister Belmus, it's your registered mail.

Ah... Coming!

Who's this from...?

Oh.

It's my mom.

Dear Belmus. How are you? I hope you're doing fine. We've been worried since you didn't come over for Obon. I know you're a commander, so you're probably not in any financial trouble, but I've still sent you some money. I hope you don't mind.
PS. Please come over for new year, so we can see your face again.

From Mom

p050

p051

(ring, ring)

Huh? Who could it be?
