Another week, another Gintama. Sorry if I sound like this was a chore, as I've had a long day. This Gintama however proves that this series has something for everyone, and I hope that with an RTS more people will look into it, as I will be translating as long as I am able, and Sorachi churns them out.

Gintoki: Yeah. Turns out that Urara-chan’s big sister is the one who really hasbeen writing to Shinpachi.

She was scared of rejection, so she sent her little sister’s photo to Shinpachi rather than her own.

A lot happened and most of it annoying. (Okita.)

Okita: Boss, I saw that ‘annoying’ written using my name, please don’t do that.

Besides weren’t you the one who asked me to go along with this plan?

Gintoki: Well we’re in this together.

Urara: My sister really wanted to meet someone, but her annoying habit kept he from it.

However she really wanted to meet Shinpachi-san this time…

So it’s certain that she actually does want to see him—

It’s been painful for her

To think that a person would actually respond to her love letters.

Her self confidence had finally run dry

And she feels that she can’t be of use to anyone.

It’s because she can’t forgive herself first, that she can’t find forgiveness in others.

Kondo: and Shinpachi-Kun is?

Gintoki: I have no idea. He ran after the older sister and they’re both out there somewhere.

It seems that he wants to try to understand her purpose in coming here.

Gintoki: Some guys wouldn’t care about something like that.

However a certain type of guy…

When seeing a girl crying in front of him…wants to reach out and dry those eyes.

Shinpachi’s that type.

A true-blue type of fellow.

Hijikata: He really should have just cut things off earlier like I said then.

That girl, if she raises a big fuss in public I have no problem arresting her.

We don’t have time to put up with some brat’s blind date gone wrong.

Gintoki: You do have time. That guy seems to have no problem supporting us during work.

Hijikata: Well he’s like that on and off the clock. So it doesn’t matter.

Urara: Sis has never been outside her home until just now, and being in a strange place like Edo, she’s bound to round up all kinds of trouble.

Hijikata: I haven’t heard of anything YET anyway.

If it’s about that woman, leave pointless things like that to the freelancer there.

Okita: Hijikata-san…

Look…there are lots of people coming.

It seems no matter what I do, I’m nothing more than a nuisance to everyone.

It’s the first time I’ve had to stand in front of so many people though…

It’s ironic isn’t it?

It’s only when I’m about to die that I get so much notice from everyone.

The pain I’ve endured alone will only change now..

I’ve never once thought of myself as a cute or attractive person..

And it’s probably because of that, that I can’t even embrace my own exsistance.

That’s why I lived in fear of what other people thought of me.

And when I thought that they had a low opinion, I could do nothing but run from them.

If I can’t even believe in myself…

How can I possibly expect anyone else to have feelings for me? To care for me?

I’ve been thinking about this time and time again.

Big sister: Shinpachi-san…yes..

I sent your picture to him Urara-chan because I lacked self confidence to do it myself.

And its because of that I’m sure that Shinpachi-san has come to both hate and distrust me, after all I did lie to him and hide myself.

And now when he does see the true me, he’ll see a pathetic coward that has not one good point about themselves.

I’m impure…

I can’t go on living in such a pathetic way…

Urara: Sis! Please don’t go on talking this way!

Big sister: Its ok, please leave me be.

Hijikata: See what I mean? She’s totally a B type woman.

I’m always right about these things.

Big sister: I’m an A type.

Hijikata: Crap…she was listening?

Older sister: Although an A type is also a type that has many problems, and is easily identified by others of the same type like Hijikata-san.

Gintoki: You’re giving A types a bad name! Are you saying that you don’t have any good qualities?!

Hijikata: I don’t want to hear that from you!! What the hell is this weird feeling anyway? I don’t want to talk to you about it!

Gintoki: What’s wrong since you brought it up dammit?! If you’re an A type you should be able to bounce back with some kind of retort or something like that! Have some shame! You’re a fake ‘A’ type dammit!!

Oh I get it! All you A type are exactly the same! Dirty and usless! Theres not a damn thing you should do so just go ahead and die!

Hijikata: Aren’t you supposed to be persuading one otherwise?!

(SFX-*zadosu* Poke!)

Older sister: I’ll be dying now.

Gintoki: An A type is…well…

They normally have their forelock upside down! I’ve seen that before!

Hijikata: Aren’t you just stretching out the limits now?! Moreover how is that a good thing?!

Gintoki: It’s a wide way to not dry things out.

Hijikata: IS THIS A SHOUNEN JUMP COMMERICAL?!

Gintoki: Hey Gorilla!! What are you doing?!

Kondo: I didn’t say anything bad to her just now! If you’re going to blame someone look deep into your selves then jump!!

Gintoki: IS THIS THE TIME TO BRING THIS UP!?

Gintoki: And who will Shinpachi come and see?

Although Urara-chan is here too, the person he came to see happens to be one pretty girl who almost jumped off the side of a building.

Gintoki: My bad, but Shinpachi’s not the acrobatic type.

So you’ll have to stop this.

Older sister: I….I’m sorry.

I have to do this then, before he ends up coming and getting dragged into this mess..

They were all wonderful…

Shinpachi’s and everyone’s letters.

I know that everyone wrote those…

I know because I’ve always been alone with no one to write to.

Its because Shinpachi-san felt that it would be too awkward to respond to my letter on his own…

That he went out and carefully selected people special to him to help him come up with a letter full of all your experience.

This is something he has that I do not, and is the reason why I can’t face Shinpachi-san.

Older sister: My letters were filled with a kind of solitude

A longing that someone would come and save me.

Letters became my only refuge, my only escape from this reality.

I wrote, never thinking that I’d ever get any type of response.

It’s mysterious isn’t it? People put so much into writing..

Not knowing that each letter is a little bit of them they send to others.

They do know though, that they write for someone.

And for that reason they try their best to write something amazing.

Not for themselves…but for others.
They try to become stronge.

Shinpachi-san took the thoughts of every one of his friends and put them down.

That’s why I can tell that he is a person who has a lot of love and important people around him.

On my side however…

Is nothing…Even now I’m pushing my little sister Urara-chan away..

This is why I can’t write a letter nearly half as beautiful as Shinpachi-san’s..

(TN- Man…this was really nicely done. I wasn’t expecting an ending as sweet (without being sacchine) from Sorachi. Gintama really is a manga that can like the Yorozuya, do anything.)
