Since the anime and manga have ended, the manga has also lost its novelty.

We were talking about how in order to keep the readers from getting tired of it, we'll need to breathe a fresh breath into the story.

Though it may be a bit hasty, as we were then, we couldn't make the declining tankoubon sales rebound.

So using this hiatus, each of us went out to gain power in our own ways. And promising to gather again to create the "New Yorozuya".

(TL Note: Sadaharu uses the phrase "wanko" being a playful term for "dog". This is a pun on "enko" or part of the phrase "enkotsume" or "yubitsume" which means "finger shortening", a ritual done in the yakuza to atone for an offense when you cut off part of your little finger.)
