I. Hated. This. Chapter. It was nice to get back story but I hate infodumps and Sci-fi blabbering in my native language. It's a whole new monster in a secondary one.

Still another Hitoribocchi is due this week. March is Hitoribocchi month.

Nozomi: Was this always the scenery on Orbelio?
Grandmother: Roughly 80 million years ago.
Koichi: 80?!
Grandmother: How's the scenery of your home planet? Nostalgic isn't it?
Nozomi: No...
I don't really know anything about Orbelio...
Especially the outdoors and this expansive landscape...
From the time I was aware of my surroundings I was always in a white room...
Grandmother: You are....

Let us return to the conversation at hand.
Eramea and Orbelio are sibling planets but those who were born and dwell on these planets are of different dispositions.
The people of Eramea who dislike strife were born on their planet and passed their time wishing to live in peace,
While the Orebelian people had the spirits of frontiersmen and instantly used their scientific prowess to become one of the more highly evolved in the universe.
When they became acquainted with one another, things went well.
Orbelians had a special “power” while Eramians had their special “eyes”.
They both had mutual respect for one another, and no reason to invade the other's territory.

Grandmother: However the trail blazing Orbelions realized something..
Or no, I should say they became convinced of it.
Within the Universe, other beings with the same level of evolution and intelligence, other planets with special powers did not exist...
And this fostered dangerous thoughts within the Orbelians. Thoughts that changed their appearance as time went by.

Grandmother: From then on, Orbelio's scenery sadly disappeared without a trace.
None could enter Orbelio.
Rightfully so the Eramians forbade coming and going and eventually became that no one ever left their planet...
Koichi: Wait, it's as if...
Grandmother: No, that's wrong....this is..
A chained planet.

Grandmother: Eramian eyes have the ability to empathize with the abnormalities of those of the same kind.
They are able to sympathize and arrange the sensations, experience and conform with other species in their entirety.
Understanding their own ability the Eramians made a decision.
Fearing the “threat” from the Orbelians who had explored the universe at an amazing speed, the Eramians....
Using a general mobilization of those with abilities, utilized magic to seal off all and any navigation from the planet.

Grandmother: From a close distance the planet could be seen by the naked eye, but being able to go between the binary sibling planets was now impossible....
From then on merely seeing the planet was all that could be done.

Grandmother: Originally it was said that Orbelio taught them the way to use their “power”, but it was the united efforts of Thousands of Eramians's abilities that continues to permanently protect the planet.
At least until the time where Eramea's life span came.
Nozomi: Eramea is gone too?
Grandmother: “Too”?
Nozomi: Orbelio no longer exists. They modified the planet too much and it exploded...
Grandmother: Exploded?!
I see...
Eramea and Orbelio are both planets which have aged...but a planet's death is usually after several million years, should there be no way to postpone it.
Why Earth was here for approximately 100 thousand years before I came here.
Ayla: 100...

Grandmother: Oh my! Of course I haven't been alive for 100 thousand years myself.
I've slept for quite some time as well so I've felt quite a bit.
Ayla: I was curious about how the pyramids were built in 25th era BC, but she said she was asleep at the time....
Koichi: So she has a trademark gag too...?
Nozomi: Why did you come to Earth?
Why did you make such an effort to come here to Earth, Grandmother?
Grandmother: I said the reason why I had to leave Eramea earlier...the Planet's lifespan was coming to an end...
Not all Eramians wanted to move, there are still some left over who share the same fate as the planet.
My reason for choosing Earth was..

Grandmother: Earth and Eramea have the same secret sealing technique protecting them...
That's right...
It's what you currently call the “port”.
There aren't many details told about the history of beings that can use that techinque...
But I am aware of a lone Orbelian youth who came to earth 4 billion years ago.
At the time he arrived on earth, very few of the life there had managed to advance to a point where they were on land rather than the ocean. It was during his stay on earth that he fashioned a chained planet much like Eramea's and closed off the planet.
More than anything else the most surprising thing was...

Grandmother: Thousands of Eramians lost themselves to the risk of danger to accomplish strengthening the link of their kind and utilize the hidden art to seal off the planet...
But he was able to perform this all on his own.

Grandmother: That there was another “Chained planet” like Eramea....but rather than an ability that chains the planet down, restraining it's freedom....
The art used on Earth was more like a gentle ribbon softly wrapping itself around the entirety of the planet.
It's as if it was created with the intention of someday reviving relations with other planets, and acted just as it's name “the port” implies, allowing different people to pass through...at least that's the theory.
That I was able to infiltrate this planet may have just been luck...
Thanks to the chained planet's small gaps.
Koichi: To be able to do something like that on his own....just who was that person?
Grandmother: Ah...well he went on to more fame in the universe after doing that.

Grandmother: After he returned from earth, he became the 144th king of Orbelio, and seized enough power to amass one of the biggest empires in the galaxy.
The Orbelian empire as it was called...
Well, the effect that Orbelio has on the universe isn't one that can be ignored. That in itself was a huge amount of power.

Grandmother: This planet was being protected by a spell that a single Orbelian youth had cast.
And that is the extent of the knowledge that I have in regard to Orbelio and Earth's relationship.
Ayla: Um...
Just hearing this doesn't explain why Earth is being targeted...
Does this planet have some kind of value to them or something...?
Koichi: You're right. Why do the aliens keep making their way to Earth that has been sealed up...?

Rico: It's b—because the surrounding planets are being targeted by the star group...
Koichi: I get it.
Nozomi: It seems that Earth was meant to become the second Orbelio..
That's why I was sent on a mission and came to Earth...
But in the end I failed and Orbelio was destroyed, so i'm not quite sure why they continue to target this planet.
Grandmmother: Hmm...
All right. As I promised I will inform you of what happened 10 years ago.
Come here Nozomi.
Nozomi: I'd rather not have any false memories.
Grandmother: No need to worry. I promise upon the gods of heaven and earth that I will only tell you that which is true.

I grew tired of being on Eramea.
Orbelio wanted to spread the power it had through every corner of the universe while my ancestors the Eramians simply watched...
Koichi: They dislike war so they closed the planet and simply sought to maintain peace.
Grandmother: Yes, this is correct.
However this peace served only Eramea's interests.
Orbelio sought to annihilate the intelligent life....humans who dwell on this planet in their bid for advancement.
They foolishly believed that they were the only required intelligent life needed in the universe.
However...

Grandmother: Eramians saw this and did nothing to stop it.
Eramea was naturally blessed with abundant peace....
Food and water were always in abundance, and there isn't a single record of war in the entire Eramian history.
Us Eramians know nothing about strife. Our knowledge of battle is lacking.
However this is a part of reality as much as the Eramians tried to deny this with their hopes to the contrary.
My ancestors wished to observe the universe for themselves.
To understand how the universe works, to observe stars until they die, they were entranced with a desire to observe everything fully.
They were afraid that they'd be provoked to get too involved in their observations if they allowed themselves.

Grandmother: They first had to ensure their own safety before they would do any observations of their own.
They couldn't acknowledge even those feelings despite them being there.
I think it was a cowardly decision on their part.
They were unable to say anything to Orbelio, as they had even taken control of our swelling self-consciousness.
In reality Orbelio sought to observe everything except the Eramians. It was because of that and only that that supported the Eramian's little sense of justice.
That stiff atmosphere permeated the entire planet, and I couldn't bear it.
However this is what I think now.

Grandmother: We must fight to protect the earth...
It is my disposition to simply be an observer, but I am fed up with simply watching from the side.
Until this body has completely rotted away, I will continue to use my strength for this planet.
This time I won't simply watch it go by...
This planet has become my home.
Nozomi: I don't....

Grandmother: Right now your existence has only waned a little.
If you really wish to continue being here then your existence will return to what it once was.
