And series five begins. We got a heroine last volume, so here's hoping that a bit more plot development comes out of this series. This chapter was kinda slow, but things are off to a good start.

and then I suddenly lost consciousness...

Myuuton: Listen to me! This is for Saike-chan's sake.
Within his oracle lies a major contradiction.
Eiji: Contradiction?
Myuuton: His oracle is the ability to “Return to the morning of that day and do it over”.
Of course his “body” also returns to the state it was in on the morning of that day.
So all of the injuries he receives will be healed by this action too.
Eiji: We know that.
So where's the contradiction?

Myuuton: His “brain”.
His body returns to the state it was in the morning, but his “memories” are transferred over.
Which is to say that his brain retains the same status it had before he returns.
To be exact, it's the hippocampus and cerebral cortex that control memories.
The “body” is refreshed, but the “brain” continues to be over used.
That “contradiction” is eating away at the poor boy's body little by little.
