Chapter 42: Disgrace!!

Nothing

Page 3
Hans: We'll determine the winner with only one jump.
Hans: You go first.
Kishitani: ...
Hey Amatsu.
Kishitani: Didn't Nonomiya say something strange just now?
Akira: Hm?
Kishitani: He said, "Don't insult my father"...
Kishitani: That foreigner was talking about Yura Yuusuke right?
Could it be...

Page 4
Kishitani: That Nonomiya's father is that Yura Yuusuke?
Kishitani: If that's the case, he would be your dad's teammate.
Akira: ...
Kishitani: Yoda-san, do you know anything about it?
Yoda: Hm?
Yoda: ...
Yoda: No idea.
Akira: Even if that's the case---
Akira: It's not like we can question him right now.
Akira: Nonomiya will tell us when he feels like it.

Page 5
Mikage: Hey,
Mikage: Is that foreigner really good?
Yoda: Yeah.
Umi: Obviously!
Umi: He's really strong!!
Mikage: I didn't ask you!!
Yoda: ...Yeah, pretty much.
Yoda: In Austria, the country full of champion Nordic skiers...
Yoda: He is known as the strongest athlete in its history.
Yoda: He has only started ski jumping for two years, yet he already dominated the competition in Austria.
Mikage: Is Austria really good at ski jumping?
Yoda: Of course.
Many athletes from there have won the World Cup.

Page 6
Yoda: Although no one has from Japan in the past.
A+K: ...
M+S: ...
Kishitani: Then...
Kishitani: Wouldn't Yuuta be in trouble this time no matter what?
Yoda: Although for some reason...
Schneider is only good at ski jumping inside Austria.
Yoda: Once he goes on tours abroad, he becomes an average jumper.
Kishitani: Since he's in a foreign country right now...
Kishitani: Do we have a chance?

Page 7
Mikage: Speaking of which,
Mikage: Why are you going out with a foreigner?
Umi: That's got nothing to do with you.
Mikage: What!?
Sora: Umi!!
Sora: I'm sorry...
Sora: About three years ago, she followed our father when he transferred overseas.
Sora: It seems like they met then...
Umi(thought): That's right!!
Umi(thought): It's because I didn't want to see Nonomiya's face anymore---
Umi: Hey, Nonomiya.

Page 8
I...may have to go to Austria.
My dad will be transferred there, so either me or my sister will have to go with him...
But...
If you go out with me, I will stay in Japan.
Please go out with me.

Page 9
Umi(thought): "I have ski jumping practice."
Umi(thought): Even after my confession,
Umi(thought): He said that and just left.
Umi(thought): It was like as if...
Umi(thought): He didn't care about what happens to me at all.
Umi: Idiot!! Just because your dad is an Olympic athlete!!
Umi: Don't you know that even if you practice that much, it's useless!?

Page 10
Umi: A dropout like you...
Umi: Can't possibly win a gold medal!!
Umi(thought): I...
Umi(thought): Didn't want to see him anymore.
Umi(thought): Even though my sister insisted on going to Austria the whole time,
Umi(thought): In the end, I was the one who went,
Umi(thought): And she stayed in Japan.

Page 11
Umi(thought): And then---
Umi(thought): It was about half a year after I got to Austria.
Umi(thought): The fact that my sister started going out with Nonomiya---
Umi(thought): I found out through a friend's letter.
Umi(thought): Nonomiya must have wanted my sister to stay in Japan---
Umi(thought): That's why he acted the way he did that time, to make me leave.
Umi(thought): That's so cruel!!
Umi(thought): I won't forgive him!!
Umi(thought): I must have my revenge!!
Umi(thought): And crush his dreams as well!!

Page 12
Umi(thought): It was then that I met Hans.
Umi: Huh?
Hans: Go out with me.
Hans: I like small girls with black hair.
Hans: I don't care about any others.

Page 13
Umi(thought): I knew about him. He was the most famous guy in the school.
Umi(thought): He was a sports scholarship student, and a talented soccer goal keeper. I heard he was even known overseas.
Umi(thought): Why would a guy like that be interested in me...
Umi: Isn't Austria good at ski jumping?
Hans: ...What about it?
Umi: If you can win the gold medal for me in ski jumping, I'll think about it.
Hans: I can do that.
Hans: But...

Page 14
Hans: The Olympics is still too far away.
Won't you be satisfied with me being the best in Austria?
Umi(thought): It's been two years---
Umi(thought): I didn't really think he would start ski jumping, or that he would become the best in Austria.
Umi(thought): And there was also something else unexpected---
Umi(thought): That Hans is actually a really lazy person!!
Umi(thought): The instant he became the first in Austria...
Umi(thought): That side of him was plainly shown!
Umi(thought): Even so, against Nonomiya...
Umi(thought): There's no way he can lose!!
Yuuta(thought): Father...
Yura: Hah!
Yura: Hah!

Page 15
Yura: Hah!!
Yura: Hah!!
Yura: Hah!!
Yura: Listen!! Yuuta!! Nono!!
Yura: Hah!
Yura: Hah!
Yura: Your dad will definitely come back with an Olympic gold medal!!
Yura: I'll become a national hero!!
Yura: And I'll let you two wear the medal too!!
Nono: I want to wear it---!!
Nono: Father is so cool!!

Page 16
Man: Thanks to that idiot's blunder, the Austrian team won the gold medal.
Man: Yura is the hero of the century.
Man: For the Austrian team, that is.
Yuuta: ...
Yuuta: Hey.
Hans: Hm?

Page 17
Yuuta: Are you the best in Austria?
Hans: Yeah...
Hans: This past year, I haven't lost my 1st ranking.
Yuuta: Then...

Page 18
I will disgrace you, the representative of the Austrian team.
