Afterword

Even though the manga is about ski jumping, volume 5 is set during the summer again.
Actually, chapter 1 is still the only time that it snowed...

I was really worried about not being able to go gather materials for the winter season, but I finally got a chance to.
Since I live in a warm area, I was slightly surprised by how different the snowy part of the country looks quite different during the summer.

I was also allowed to observe the maintenance of the jump platform.
Many coaches, who were former Olympic athletes, were working together to flatten the surface of the Approach (the first slope of the hill), and adjusting the angle of Kante (the jump-off edge) with protractors. I was moved by the sight of all that, and the fact that I was at the heart of Japanese ski jumping.

Finally, there will be a lot of snow in the next volume.
