Afterword

For a manga that is serialized weekly, about four volumes come out per year.
Because this is the sixth volume, it means that this manga has been going for a year and a half now.

It's always like this during serialization, but every week I have to draw 18 pages, so I only focus on the immediate chapter that I'm working on. Before I realize it, my manuscripts have been collected to form volumes of the manga.
Volume 6 of Nononono marks the 19th book that I worked on. If I stack all of them together, the whole thing is quite thick. But because I'm rushing to finish the 18 pages every week, I don't remember ever drawing that much. Even though it still feels like I'm new at this, I'm nearing my 20th volume. It feels like I haven't accomplished anything though, and sometimes I wonder what I'm working toward, and if it's ok for me to become a mangaka instead of working.

As for this volume, I'm filled with both anticipation and fear, at how thick it will turn out to be.
