“The Úlfhéðnar*” (TN: Berserkers)
In Norse mythology, stories arose of “warriors who wore wolf pelts.” The Úlfhéðnar.
By wearing the pelt, they believed that the spirit of the wolf would enter their body and grant them power. Entering them into a berserk like state, and supposedly causing them to grow.
They loved battle above all else, fighting to the death with opponents whose ability they recognized.
And these berserkers, clad in wolf fur and unafraid of death, was the origin for the werewolf legend.
