これは担当さんにもらったタイの
おみやげです。
とってもユニークで気に入ってるの
で、　みんなさんに紹介します。
なんか知恵の神様だとかなんとか言っ
てしまった。
たまに同じポーズをとって遊んでい
ます。
this is a souvenir from thailand that i got from my editor.
i liked it so much for its uniqueness that i decided to share it with everybody.
ive been told that its a god of wisdom or such.
every now and then i try to take the same pose for fun.

小学校三年生の時の
図工の時間。。。
during an art class in the third year of grade school...

隣の席の人と
向かい合ってお互いの
肖像画を描いた時が
あったでしょ。。。
we had this assignment to draw a portrait of the student sitting next to you remember...

and okamoto-kun drew me...


その岡本くんの
絵を先生が
「すごくイイ！」って
気に入っちゃって。。。
when the teacher saw okamoto-kuns portrait she said 「its amazing!」 and picked it as the winner...

額にまで入れて
正面の黒板の
上に飾っちゃっ
たの。。。
she got it framed and put it above the blackboard...

私の目が
見えなく
なったのは。。。
its a little over a year now...
　今から
　一年ちょっと前。。。
since i stopped seeing from these eyes...

私にとって
最低で最悪
だった頃よ。。。
it was the worst time of my life...


私が中学生に
なると　すぐ父と母の
仲が悪くなったの
soon after i went to middle school my parents started quarelling alot

父は　母や私に
暴力をるるうように
なって　家の中は
メチャクチャになったわ
my father would eve use violence against my mother and me
my home simply became unbearable


私は私で
学校の友達と
うまくいかなくなって
at the same time i wasnt getting along with my friends from school

もうどうでもいいやって
感じだった。。。
and i just said screw it all to hell...


気がつくと
電車に
when i came to my senses

飛びこんでた。。。
i was falling before a train...

死のうとしたのか
足をすべらせたのか
何も　おぼえてないの。。。
i dont remember anything about whether i jumped or slipped...

電車は
急停車して
命拾いしたかわりに
視力を失ったの
i barely escaped death when the train pulled an emergency stop but i lost my eyesight


でもの。。。
but you know...

目の前がまっ暗に
なった時
なんだかホッと
したの。。。
as the darkness was filling my view i kind of felt relieved...


すごく有名な
先生が
私の目を手術し
てくれたわ
a very famous doctor performed sugery on my eyes

手術は成功
したけど
私の目は
見えなかった。。。
the surgery was a success but my eyes still wont see...


なざだと
思う。。。？
do you know why...?
　それは　私に
　もう一度みえるように
　なりたいって意志が
　ないからだって。。。
its because there isnt a single thing i want to see...

自分から見たい
と思う気持ちが
なければ　何度施術を
してもムダだって
ーーーーーーー
without the will to see all the surgeries in the world couldnt help me------
