*TL Note: There is a different Taiga drama, a historical TV series, run on the NHK channel every year. That's what this years' is called. It's about Sakamoto Ryouma, the person this manga's Sakamoto is named after/based on.

Mamyuudapao is the name given to me by the chief of the Hingromakson tribe, which is looking after me.
It means "Tree floating in the water", "Castaway", "Freelance Worker", "Famicom" and "Sinking old man" and such.
Shinpachi: THAT'S TOO WIDE A MEANING, ISN'T IT!!? FROM THE END TO THE BEGINNING IT BECAME THE EXACT OPPOSITE!
Hasegawa: They call me the abbreviation of Mamyuudapao, Madao.
Shinpachi: HE WENT ALL THE WAY TO NECROGOND AND HE'S STILL CALLED MADAO!!?
Hasegawa: The Hingromakson tribe are a very kind people in that they generously give a stranger like me a share of the fruit from their trees, like I was one of them.

奴らもマダオ　お前と同じく異界より流れついた漂流者であった
Chief: They had a castaway that looked like they had drifted there from another world, just like you, Madao.
