Mori: Our first face-to-face meeting...?
How long has it been since I've climbed with other people...
Old Man: AITATATATATA...
[See, what I did here was I looked up the official names of all these. It seems that there's a dispute of whether or not to call stuff "mount" or whatever or just use the original "take" or "yama"... I figure no one cares so I just wrote "mount" and such since people don't know which are mountains and which aren't.]
Page 68:
Old Man: Good afternoon.
Itatatatatatata.
Mori: .......
..........Is this the way
to Mount Yari?
Old Man: ....... Yari, eh?
If that's where you're headed, you're good if you take this path straight ahead.
Page 69:
Mori: If your feet hurt,
then why don't you sit on that rock?
あいにく先客がいてね
OId Man: Unfortunately someone else got there first.
Eh?
Mori: !!
Old Man: That short rest sure was relaxing.
How about we get going...?
SFX: Gah gah
Page 70:
Old Man: Looks like this is your first time at Yari,
how about I guide you?
Sorry though.
Even though you're so young, you'll have to keep an old man's pace.

Old Man: In a little accident 15 years ago...
my feet got injured.
It's taken me a while to get this far.
But, really, mountains sure are nice.
When I come here
I forget everything unpleasant below and feel relieved.......
Well, someone young like you is really energetic,
I'll bet you don't think about boring things like that, right?
Mori: No...
Page 72-73:
Mori: I also...
come to mountains to be free.
Page 74:
Mori: Well, I'm going ahead this way, excuse me.
Sign: Higashikama Ridge [I only know because it was on the map.]
Wait a second.
Mori: Eh?
Old Man: I have a bit of a favor to ask.
Do you think you could pick a rock tripe on top of that rock for me?
Page 75:
Mori: Eh?
晩飯の山菜取りに来たんだが
Old Man: I came here to get some mountain plants for an evening meal, but
getting up there, with these legs, well...
Mori: Climb this rock without a rope...?
That'd be complete bouldering, wouldn't it...?
What's more there are very few holds, and the overhang face is at 85 degrees.
From looking at it, this is clearly bouldering grade 4... no, 5...!!!
Old Man: It'd be a pity for me have tried to hard to climbed all the way here and go home empty-handed.
Mori: All...
All right...

The holds are too small, I can't shove my feet onto them.
There are far too few holds, too.
How can I reach my hands all the way there...?
Old Man: *Yaiyai, you're slooow.
Asterisk: *Nagano Dialect for "A~~A"
Old Man: This youngster who's really no great shakes already,
is just dillydallying ain't he?
Asterisk: *These are Nagano Dialect phrases too, but I just translated them. He speaks like this from here on.

Old Man: My shoes're kid's size...
