Crow Ad: Crow appears at Jump Festa again this year!!
Kaya: Just as I thought, "Rabuta"'s interesting.
Takagi: Yeah, Saikou's drawings are totally better though.
Saikou: I said not to worry about that.
Kaya: Do you think it'll get popular?
Saikou: Probably at least as much as "PCP".
Manga:
Rabuta: Please, don't go to Paris!
Girl: Eh?
Someone: Eh?
Shuujin: You... You think so~~~?
Saikou: It's 45 pages with the center color. It's got to do at around that well.
Takagi: This is getting complicated~~~~ I wanna it to get popularity, but I don't think I want it above "PCP".
Saikou: ..........
Page 2:
Iwase: 7th place, is it...? We went down one again.
Miura: It's the recoil of doing the "CROW" collaboration...
They want something with more impact, now...
But it's 7th place, now we just take out time and get higher one by one.
Iwase: What about "PCP"?
This week it's 4th. It's been doing working hard, getting around 4~5 place recently.
Miura: "CROW" is doing even harder.
It had a fixed position at 3rd, but with "PCP" getting up to 4th, it suddenly took 2nd.
Niizuma-kun's desire not to lose to Ashirogi-kun is coming out in the work.
Iwase: Do you think Niizuma-san doesn't care if "NATURAL" loses?
Miura: I'm sure it's not that. But the original author story is yours, Akina-kun. You need to work harder...
Iwase: ..........
Miura-san, between Takagi-kun and I, whom do you think is the more talented original author?
Miura: !
............
Page 3:
Miura: I can't compare you two............ No matter how much you ask to place one as superior, all I can do is base you two on the ranks of the works.
Iwase: So by that you mean Takagi-kun is higher?
Miura: No, until just recently, "NATURAL" was higher than "PCP", wasn't it?
SFX: GIRON
Miura: Well, Takagi-kun is...
Ah...
Iwase: ?
SFX: GASA...
Miura: He's doing another work...
He did the original story for the One-Shot in the next issue.
Iwase: !
Miura: So in a way, I think it means he has real talent, but............
Iwase: ............
I'm writing a second work, too!!
SFX: GOOOO
Miura: No, don't! First we have to get "NATURAL"'s rank back up, right!?

Yuujirou: This week you're 2nd! Seems there's a bright side to Ashirogi-kun working so hard!
Eiji: It looks like Akina-sensei is in a slump. But at the very least, I won't lose with "CROW"...
And PCP hasn't even become an anime yet.
Yuujirou: No, "PCP" probably won't have an anime version.
Eiji: Why is thaaaaat!? It's so interesting!
Yuujirou: The short story is because it's a manga about perfect crimes, it barely got the OK to be a manga, but it won't be able to get that for TV.
Eiji: Ngah... TV has no guts. That's disheartening.
SFX: PARA
Yuujirou: You could call it the limit of the cult type...
合っているが多分順位的にももう上は望めない
"PCP" couldn't be written by anyone but Ashirogi-kun. It suits them, but probably in terms of rank they can't hope to go any higher.
If they just do things normally, it won't be possible for "CROW" to be overtaken.
Eiji: !
This sure is strange.
Yuujirou: Hm? What is?
Eiji: Next week's issue.
Page 5:
Eiji: This "Rabuta & Peace"'s original author, it's Takagi-sensei, isn't it?
SFX: PIH
Manga: [cut off]ta & Peace
Yuujirou: Yeah, the name is just a distortion of his real name, so I thought you'd figure it out.
Eiji: I figured it out by the contents of the story.
人間の本音の部分高木先生の真骨頂クセが出てます。
The part about humans' real intentions is really where the best form of Takagi-sensei's unique style comes out.
Yuujirou: I see.
Eiji: Did you say that without an anime, "PCP" won't catch up to "CROW"!?
Yuujirou: Yeah, being limited to never even becoming an anime, it's difficult..
Eiji: Then why's Takagi-sensei writing something like this?
Yuujirou: You're asking me "why"...? Are you saying there's something wrong with that?
Eiji: Of course there's something wrong with it! He can't write something like this!
It's no good, no gooood!!

Miura: Hu~~~w. It's because this time you had Takagi-kun write a second series.
Hattori: ? I didn't actually make him write it, but what's wrong?
Miura: Akina-kun said she wanted to write another series, herself, and calming her down was a real pain.
Hattori: Hahaha, that sounds just like Akina-kun.
Someone: But it sure is a good that young original authors are emerging, isn't it?
Akina-kun and Takagi-kun... This year's Story King is good, too.
Aida: It's a good thing, but there aren't enough people drawing the pictures.
I wonder if the runner-up in Story King "148cm Goal Keeper" can get serialization... Anybody?
Somebody: The drawings are good, but there are tons of newbies, aren't there?
Aida: Like I said, there aren't any kids that start off just as artists.
They won't happen unless you think "I'm better off devoting my attention to the being an artist" and have incredibly good drawings but decide you're sure you can't make an interesting story.
Miura: I guess that's true.
Hattori: .............There's a shortage of artists?
Page 7:

Takagi: Good job.

Saikou: I finished the name.
Hattori: Ooh, could you fax it to the editorial department?
Saikou: All right.
Okay, so just fixing the lines in those two places and replacing the panels on page 6, huh?
Hattori: Yes. Once you've fixed those you're fine to make it a manuscript.
Saikou: Then I'll get on the under-sketching for the manuscript.
Shuujin: Eh... Can't you just start that tomorrow?
Kaya: Yeaaah, you're working too hard.
Saikou: Like I said, I'm in a good mood today and wanna draw.

Shiratori: Ta-Takagi-sensei?
The phone call telling us "Rabuta" and "PCP"'s results will be coming to day, right?
Shuujin: Yeah, they should.
Orihara: A... About what rank are you going for that will get it serialized?
Shuujin: No, it's still too early to talk about serialization.
Saikou: Right now, the area for serialization would be 7th... No, within 10th place, if they handle it right...
All: !
Shuujin: Yes, this is Takagi.
Page 10:
Shuujin: "PCP" is 4th......
Orihara: Ooh, that's great!
Saikou: The same as last time...
Now, "Rabuta & Peace" is.............
Shuujin: "Rabuta" 5th.
Shiratori: 5th!
Shuujin: I knew it.
Saikou: That's well within the range where you can go for serialization.
Moriya: ..................
Orihara: Congratulatioooooons Shiratori-kun!
With that result, next you can make a name for the serialization meeting!
Shuujin: .........
Page 11:
Shuujin: Orihara-kun, it hasn't been decided to write a manuscript for serialization yet.
Orihara/Shiratori: Eh?
Shiratori: .........
Saikou: Shuujin...
Shuujin: Hattori-san, that's a considerable result for "Rabuta & Peace", but...
Hattori: Yes, it's all right to aim for serialization.
Shuujin: I have "PCP", too, so I'd like it if I could take my time to think and decide whether or not to write a serialization name or not.
Hattori: !.......... Yes, you're right. I understand your priority for "PCP".
Anyhow, we have a meeting when I come to pick up the manuscript today at 6PM, we'll talk after that.
Shuujin: Okay.

Shuujin: Saikou.
Saikou: Shuujin, if it's me you're worried about, don't bother.
More importantly, you should be thinking about extending your own skill.

If you upped your level, it'd honestly even make me happy.
And also, Shiratori-kun worked so hard to get the manuscript done in such a short time, since you came, I'm sure you'd like to get serialized, right?
Shiratori: !
..........
I.... I do want to do it, but... If not if I have for force sensei or cause trouble for him...

Shiratori: And I'm being opposed by my parent.

Saikou: Sorry.............
Shiratori: ...........
Page 15:
Saikou: What is there to think about...?
You may not understand, Shiratori-kun, but I'm sure Takagi does.
Just how difficult a thing it is to get serialized.
Shuujin: No... It's exactly because of that, that doing it with "PCP" would be..........
Saikou: Do you know how much people yearn for it, take up the challenge, and are defeated, and give up?
Isn't it odd to, even though based on the results from the one-shot you were told "let's make it a series", be declining yourself? You should take on the challenge.
Hattori: I'm in the same vein as Mashiro-kun.
Of course Mashiro-kun and Takagi-kun both have talent, but unless you have incredible talent that fits with the times------
you won't be able to get serialized.
Shuujin: .........
That's right, really............ Getting serialized in "Jump"... is not something easy to do............
Page 16:
Shuujin: I understand.
I'll do it.
Hattori: Okay.
Shiratori: !
Shuujin: I'll just try writing an original story for serialization. If I really think it'll affect "PCP", then I'll have to with draw, I hope you'll forgive me for that much.
Shiratori: O-Of course.
Thank you so much.
SFX: GATAH
Hattori: Okay, we'll have a meeting about "Rabuta" another day, shall we get into the meeting for "PCP" now?

Hattori: Well, I think I'll be heading home, too.

Saikou: Yeah.
Shuujin: But "PCP" won't become an anime......... It sure is frustrating......
Saikou: It is frustrating, but hearing Azuki playing a role from our own work again
strengthens the feeling that the dream will definitely come true someday.
Shuujin: Yeah.
CD: Makoto, you can just die holding fancy tuna!!

Shuujin: .........
So you're really okay with me doing the original story for "Rabuta", huh?
Saikou: You sure are persist ant, I said do it.
Shuujin: .........
Saikou: ?
Shuujin: So I should stop, after all?
Saikou: Do it! It's a big chance, so you're definitely better off doing it!
Because I'm going to be taking up a challenge, too.
Shuujin: Eh?
Saikou: If I could just draw a little faster.............

Hattori: You can do "PCP" this smoothly,
so I'm sure you can do "Rabuta", too.
Shuujin: I'm telling you, it's not like that.
I'll think over it over intensely for a week.
Hattori: Well, I think I'll be heading home, too.
Thanks for your hard work.
Ashirogi: Thanks for your hard work.
Hattori: Ah.
Ashirogi: ?
Hattori: Here's a sample of the drama CD with the recordings done.

Saikou: ! Thank you so much!
SFX: JYAAAN
Saikou: How about we listen to it tomorrow with Kaya-chan, the three of us?
Shuujin: That's okay. When I get home I'll listen to it with Kaya-chan again, let's just hurry and listen.

CD: *Shuh*
CD: What would you eat on your last day on earth, Mai-chan?
Is a drink okay?
That's fine.
Then some medicine that could let me die peacefully.
Shuujin: Azuki's voice is good, huh?
Saikou: Yeah.
Shuujin: But "PCP" won't become an anime......... It sure is frustrating......
Saikou: It is frustrating, but hearing Azuki playing a role from our own work again
strengthens the feeling that the dream will definitely come true someday.
Shuujin: Yeah.
CD: Makoto, you can just die holding fancy tuna!!
Page 19:
Shuujin: .........
So you're really okay with me doing the original story for "Rabuta", huh?
Saikou: You sure are persist ant, I said do it.
Shuujin: .........
Saikou: ?
Shuujin: So I should stop, after all?
Saikou: Do it! It's a big chance, so you're definitely better off doing it!
Because I'm going to be taking up a challenge, too.
Shuujin: Eh?
Saikou: If I could just draw a little faster.............
I'll draw another work, alone!
Insert: What is the true meaning behind that statement...!?
Bottom: Bakuman。
