10 days ago, when gazing at the snow cave walls at night alone, I realized that layers were formed from day to day.
Days with a lot of fallen snow, days where it was clear and snow melted, days where the wind was strong and the snow became a crust...
And so I counted the layers back day by day...
And that layer with debris of shrubs...

Mori: I knew was the day that our team got caught in an avalanche.

How did you pinpoint that layer? Was there some landmark?
Mori: The lines.
I don't completely understand it, but there are yellow lines in the cross section of the snow.
And the shrub layer spreads out 1.2 meters below that.
After that was the changes of the fallen snow and avalanches tendencies of this whole region...
I sampled the swept up shrubs and such and calculated the place where there was a high probability of the Vice Captain having been swept to.

In the average year, yellow sand appears from February to around April.
This year, unseasonable yellow sand was observed on January 28th...
