At the top of the 12th peak, the final peak is in sight at last.

Katou: Concentrate, this slope is nothing.
Exhausting stamina is the most dangerous when descending the mountain after reaching the peak.
Page 186:
Katou: I'll probably
never quit mountains!!!
Katou 2: Isn't that asking a bit much?
Katou: !!
Page 187:
Katou 2: You're planning to risk your life climbing mountains,
not ease up on work at all,
and on top of that, obtain the happiness of normal people?

[The metaphors are all over!]
Page 189:
Katou: I can do it...!!!
I'll continue with work,
live together with Hana-chan,
and without fail, capture the K2 East-Face!!!

He should've gotten to Japan a while ago, by now...

Adachi: There's no way you can have a wedding without the bride and groom.
Person: We'll be starting the ceremony soon.
Would the attendees please enter the main shrine...
Adachi: !!
Guy: Sorry,
just 10 more minutes, please wait just 10 more minutes!!
Person: I'm terribly sorry, but we have another ceremony reserved right afterwards, so...
Katou: .....Sorry.
Page 195:
There was bad weather, so...
the plane was delayed...
Page 196:
Adachi: ...You're always getting people worried.
It was me who asked him to investigate the Diamir Glacier this time.
I never thought in the short time until his wedding
that he'd complete a solo-climb summiting of Nanga Parbat's Rupal Face and get back...
Well, seeing that he took time off his paid vacation to go on his own expenses...
nobody could complain, but......

Climbing Glossary
There are technical climbing terms that appear in "Kokou no Hito". Here, the terms appearing in volume 12 are explained!!
Nepal, Himalayas (P4)
In the mountain range that extends over Bhutan, China, Nepal, India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, the mountainous region that can be accessed from Nepal. It contains the world's tallest peak, Everest. Also, it contains the mountainous region in the Himalayas that K2 belongs to, called "Karakoram".
Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Consecutive Solo Climbs in One Season (P4)....................................(1)
Also 8000m peaks located in the Himalayas, Nepal. Annapurna (8091m) is the world's 10th highest peak, and the world's first 8000m peak climbed by humans, done in 1950. Dhaulagiri (8167m) is the world's 7th highest peak. They both have high death rates and to do them solo and what's more, consecutively in one season, is logically possible, but an incredibly difficult climb to achieve.
Chile Patagonia Paine East-Face (P4)....................................(2)
Paine is a rocky tower located in Patagonia at the southernmost tip of South America. That eastern wall has an elevation difference of more than 1500m straight up. The number of successful climbs in the past have only been done by only a few parties. Sometimes called "the land of storms", climbing is always done under cases of severe weather like strong winds.
Peak 29 to Manaslu Solo Traversal (P5)....................................(3)
A traversal is to continue along the ridge between two or more mountains. For the Himalayas, each individual mountain is huge and treacherous, also because of the low oxygen, a traversal is exceedingly difficult. Located near the center of the Himalayas, a Manaslu (8163m) and Peak 29 (7871m) traversal has still never been achieved.
Nanga Parbat (P6)....................................(4)
The world's 9th tallest mountain, (8125m) located in Pakistan. The Rupal Face on the South side has a 4800m elevation difference from base camp and boasts the world's highest elevation difference and most difficult wall. Among the 8000 meter peak is the comparatively easier to access Karakoram Highway, which is able to be seen by airplane. Because of that, since early in the history of climbing, many climbers and mountaineering teams have challenged the mountain. The movie "Seven Years in Tibet" was a story about an Austrain team's expedition on the same mountain in 1939 using Heinrich Harrer as a model. Also, in 1895 a mountaineering (People who do not have a military investigation nor hunting goal, but whose goal is the mountains themselves.) was first proposed by Mummery for the same mountain whom was in an accident. R. Mesner was the first person to climb Nanga Partbat's Rupal face, and on the descent, his little brother was caught in an avalanche and died. Afterward, he climbed the Diamir Face solo, but this climb was also a major turning point in the climber's life. There have been many episodes where the climb of Nanga Parbat has had major changes in the lives of climbers, so it has also been called "The Mountain of Experience". And maybe Buntarou, too...!?
[Fuck you, Nanga Parbat. Fuck you. Did we really need to know ITS WHOLE HISTORY??????]
Mesner Brothers (P8)
Reinhold Messner is the first person in history to climb all 8000 meter peaks, as well as accomplish them all without oxygen in an Italian climbing team. Gunter Messner was his younger brother. (For details, see "Kokou no Hito" volume 8's special compilation.)
[Yeah, if you REALLY want to learn about them, use Wikipedia or read one of his like 50 books. Cause we all know I didn't translate that.]
Page 206-207:
Cumulonimbus Cloud (P18)....................................(5)
A cloud that grows by a sudden ascending air current. It mainly is made up of cold air in the upper atmosphere, warmed by solar radiation and the like, when it approaches the ground level and the temperature difference becomes great, it is formed. Because of the instability of the atmosphere, it brings about large amounts of precipitation and and frequently creates snow.
Hyperventilation (P26)....................................(6)
Hyperventilation Syndrome. A state where, by breathing more than necessary, the amount of carbon dioxide in the blood decreases. Because of that excess of breathing dizziness and other such symptoms occur.
Dust Avalanche (P109)....................................(7)
Newly fallen snow, blown by wind, like dust on top of the snow, falls in an avalanche. It doesn't have enough strength to swallow a person in one but because it ruins their field of vision, it makes it temporarily impossible for climbers to move.
Avalanche Danger Zone (Literally: Avalanche Nest) (P125)....................................(8)
A place where avalanches occur incessantly. It has a broader sense than an "Avalance Situation". Increasing primarily due to the shape of the terrain, as well as falling snow amount, air temperature, wind speed and such, an area where avalanches happen easily.
Rock Band (P150)....................................(9)
Inside a rocky wall that is a mix of ice and stone, an area where a horizontal belt-shaped area.is exposed. The reason it's difficult for ice and snow to stick to it are because of steep slopes. Consequently, that often becomes the core of that rock wall.
Traverse (P150)....................................(10)
To move across horizontally.
TL Note: Like I said before, this is a different kind of traverse than I'm using for "traversal". This is the English word written in katakana.
Gully (P150)....................................(11)
A ditch inside a rock wall, a dented area.
Rib (P150)....................................(12)
A branch ridge that deviates from the main mountain ridge.
Route Finding (P150)....................................(13)
Making sure to find a suitable route.
Merkl Rinne (P151)
A Rinne is a cavity or dent. The Merkl Rinne the name of an ice wall is located on Nanga Parbat on the Rupal Face right below the peak. Merkl is the name of a German team captain that challanged Nanga Parbat in the 1930's many times. That group, with the peak right in front of them, was recorded to have many victims from the great force of a storm.
Col (P165)....................................(14)
The dent area joining the ridges of two connected mountain peaks.
Diamir Glacier (P196)
There are many glacial areas located around the Himalayan Mountain Range and the Karakoram Mountain Range. The Diamir Glacier is a glacier located close to Nanga Parbat.
