Only for use by Easy Going Scans.

I'll climb beyond the limits, and go higher than anyone before.
I don't intend to stop... I'll find new heights.

Starting here I'm using issue scans. For now I'm using ones I scanned myself. These are just raw scans, they're uncompressed and not leveled or fixed. The first few may need to be rotated slightly, too.

Ok, volume 14 is scanned so here's the volume-only stuff.

Volume-Only stuff:
Volume Title: K2 East-Face
[The rest of the title stuff's the same as it's been forever so I don't need to write that]
Black Text: That ridge, that overhanging serac... I already know them all...
Silver Text: Buntarou has married Katou Hana, and been blessed with a daughter, Rokka. Having obtained a family, his life now satisfies his heart. But with an chance given to him by his kouhai Takemura, Buntarou has finally traveled to K2. Buntarou is now on the untrodden ice wall he's yearned for for so long, but then the intentions of the climb start to deviate between him and his partner...!?

Author Flap:
I received the 14th Agency of Cultural Affairs Media Arts Festival Excellence Award.
I wonder how many times it was almost thrown out until this point...?
But the greatness of the novel "Kokou no Hito" and the person that became my model, the climber Mr. Katou Buntarou and the way he lived have supported me while I believed in myself, which let me keep drawing this far.
And as I continue from here, I'll continue to challenge the limits of the method of expression known as manga, and I'd like to complete the Sakamoto-version of "Kokou no Hito".

1987, under the command of Doug Scott (England) and 9 men from England, America, and Australia headed there
But because of a warning of avalanche caused by serac from the upper area, they did not start to climb.
In 1989 Eduard Koblmuller in a group of 7 men in an Australian team got to 6600m
where a team member was in an avalanche accident caused from a smaller nearby peak.
In 1996 Harry Taylor (England) in a group of 7 men in an international team got to 6300m.
Title: The ultimate climber!!
"Kokou no Hito"
From Young Jump Comics "Kokou no Hito" the newest volume volume 12 is now on sale with rave reviews!!
In 2000, Yamanoi Yasushi and Wojciech Kurtyka (Poland) headed there as just two, but
they abandoned summiting at 6500m.
Side Text: The "Savage Mountain" having rejected many great men. That untrodden ice wall is the challenge to overcome humanity's utmost limits.
[I'm really not sure those dates are accurate. I'm finding a lot of sources saying different stuff when I'm looking up the way to spell the names.]

Page 2-3:
Someone: In all of mountain climbing history, there has never been an attack on the K2 East-Face at a point any higher than 7000 meters.
When you add the technical difficulty and the fear of avalanches from the 7300m great snow field, no one is allowed to step any farther than that.
Above Title insert: People who stand against a new "challenge" in history----
Circle: All volumes are large expanded versions!!

Page 8:
Takemura: Senpai, we're meeting to eat now.
We troubled Oranda Team to get permission from them, so
it'd look bad to show up late.

Page 9:
Katou: ...Got it.
I'm gonna go now.
I had anticipated it, but
that there are people all the way out here.......
Takemura: Of course there are. K2 is a mountain is admired by climbers the world over as the most difficult high peak.
When it's climbing season, people come from all over.
Well, course of all those teams we're the only ones with our sights on the East-Face.

Page 10:
Guy: Don't dawdle!! Hurry!
Yes, sir!! [Same as before, stuff is written in the lower mar gains in parentheses. I think they're speaking... French or something here.]
Guy 2: Please check the image from the satellite.
Contact the member who's getting a fix on the Abruzzi Spur.
Guy 3: Did you finish the gear inspection?
We've got to get past the Italians! [This is Korean/Hangul here.]
Takemura: Senpai, we should get back to our tent pretty soon.

Page 11:
Takemura: All right, the two week wait was worth it.
A strong his pressure system is here.
Now we'll have good weather for a full week...!!!
...Because of the irregular effects of warm air that flows in from the Bay of Bengal
it's been hard for the recent weather at K2 to stay good...
Plus once K2's weather has gone bad it doesn't really recover soon...
Senpai, it definitely doesn't look like we should be having a leisurely time meeting for food at a time like this, huh...?

Page 12:
Takemura: Let's depart early morning tomorrow.
You have no objection to that, right?

Page 13:
[The Japanese on that balm is a translation of what's on top.]

Page 14:
[He's ready, folks.]
Katou: If I leave this here, I'll be 24 grams lighter.
I don't mind getting sunburned. I'll just leave this and go...

Page 15:
[Ready?]

Page 16:
Takemura: ...Eh, hello. It's July 16th 5:35 PM right now.
My companion Mr. Katou is giving a sad goodbye to our kitchen boy Mohan.
From here, we set our sights on the K2 East-Face.
We're planning to take a big path around the Abruzzi Spur and walk the glacier for a long time, over 2km until we make contact with the mountain.
Katou: What're you doing, Takemura?
Takemura: Katou-san!!

Page 17:
Takemura: Good morning!!
How about you send the people of Japan a word on your mental state right before departure!!
Katou: Huh...!? Takemura!?
What're you doing?
Takemura: Come on, just one sentence!!!
Katou: Quit it, Takemura!!!

Page 19:
Kurosawa: Around now, he's on the K2 East-Face, huh...?
And what's more, that Mori Buntarou's going to a mountain with his climbing rope tied to someone else.
If that Oonishi guy were to hear that, he'd cry with joy...
Side: The two climbers play disjointed melodies. What will come of this mountain climb admonished my those Buntarou knows!?
Bottom: 133rd Climb
Kokou no Hito
End...
Next issue, discord arrives between Takemura and Buntarou...!?
