I don't run for the sake of people who weren't chosen as representatives.
I do it for myself.

but I'm just gonna let you know.
That kid you fought with before...
Yuuta was born in the hospital and he's ran once.
So when he saw you, with the same outfit as the track runners he sees on TV,

People who are skillful and ones who aren't.

It may seem natural to yourself, but
for others it's a fairy tail they will never come true.
Having your own effort recognized is very important, too, but

And I get more and more anxious and can't stop crying.

I've felt like I could tell it to Big Brother honestly.
If it was that Big Brother always smiling in the photo,

Miyuki: You've worked hard alone for a long time, haven't you?

I had a race once where I was uneasy and didn't know what to do.
At a national tournament my teeth were chattering.
But the moment I broke the goal tape
I wanted to say in a loud voice to my self before I had run,
"It's all right, just do your best!"
Ever since that day
I've run towards the goal wanting to meet my future self.

Miyuki: Past the goal tape
is my future self cheering me on in a loud roar.
Do your best.
When things got tough, the me that worked hard and did his best's greatest ally was the future me.
"I'm watching you, so try your hardest!"
I waited.
And among the cheers seeming to burst from above the thin lane
as I panted and ran,
