Jousuke: The "Steel Ball Run Race" started September 25th 1890 in San Diego California and spanned a distance of 6400 kilometers to he goal in Manhattan, New York which was reached on January 19th 1891.

Jousuke: It was a race ran only once where people crossed the North American continent on horseback.
There was a total of 3652 contestants that came from all over the world. Only 39 people completed it, and the winner won a prize of 6 billion yen.
