She was inside this huge darkness of Kubo's and was forced to repeat jumping to her death over and over.
On and on since eight years ago.

She's gotten so banged up,
but for those two, that was an inescapable eternal hell.
So I tore her away from it by force.

Kasuga: I don't mind that.
Riyon: The reason Kubo wasn't afraid of falling into the Darkness World was because Sawako was there...
He was plannin' on spending eternity suffering with the little sister he could never raise up.
But Sawako is
gone now.
