Heading: Historie jusqu'a present.
(The story leading to the present)
Description: In 1762, the 2nd daughter of the Sanson Family, Marie-Joseph made her debut as an executioner. Being executed was French Army General Griffin. While a crowd was drawing on the idea of a "woman" executioner, Marie had one thing on her mind. That is because long ago, Marie needed a "letter of recommendation from a high ranking official" in order to become an executioner, and the one that took advantage of her body in exchange for that was this man, General Griffin.
The general trembled in fear atop the execution platform. Normally, out of consideration of the convict's fears, decapitations have an etiquette of being done from "behind the neck", but Marie struck from "in front". But with Marie acting on her emotions on the execution platform, her father Jean-Baptist stopped her. Despite half of his body being paralyzed, Baptist stood upon the execution platform and performed a brilliant decapitation. The audience's boos at Marie became cheers for Baptist. Then, the father stepped before his daughter. 'Only hell awaits women who have stepped from the path of being a woman.' Meanwhile, in the Austrian capital of Vienna, a refined concert was being held. Here, a woman with the same first name, as well as the person that would later become queen of France, the young Marie Antoinette was proposed to by the genius musician Mozart-----.
Several months after the execution, the father Baptist's illness returned and left Paris with their grandmother, Marthe, making Charles the head of the Sanson household. Marie, as uninhibited as ever, received a subpoena from the imperial court. However, waiting to ambush Marie was a former subordinate of the general which was insulted by his general's execution. Marie fought against the band of knights. Then, someone came to help her. Marie-Jeanne Bécu. A woman that watched over Charles' executions...
Meanwhile, Charles entered the room on their estate where he had been forbidden to enter. It was a 'room of atonement' with a cross for every person his father had executed where he came to offer prayers. Charles learned that his father had felt the same pain from "killing people" that he has. And then "the past" asked him. 'People are all the same. Go without fear and mix with people and spread your weight.' Then when he turned around, a woman that adored him was standing there. Charles now, seeking possibilities, attempted to open a door as a "male"...
Charles and Marie both carry crosses from their past. And in order to make their 'ideals' come true, they choose paths of hardship. And now, the power swirling around the Palace of Versailles is dragging the two of them into an ordeal-----?!

Becu: Good morning, Bertin.
She's always so unsociable, that girl. She's got a bit of skill so acts stuck up...
Already heading to the shop? This is early, isn't it?!!
Bertin: Yes. We received a special order so I was asked to help out
by the master.
He said it's because I'm always serious about my work.
Becu: Ah, I see.
I was requested 7 times by a lovely customer until dawn, so I'm all worn out.
I guess seamstresses with ugly faces have no choice but to work on their skill.
Page 16-17:
[And there's a horse thing.]
Page 18:
Bertin: Amazing! What exquisite ornaments!!
That's the Versailles seal!!
Becu: It must be a noble that snuck into Paris!
They must've been playing around all night and now they're heading back to Versailles!!
Page 19:
Bertin: If I work on my sensibilities and skills
and master the path of fashion...
Becu: If I polish these looks and social skills...

Guy: Fuaaah, I'm so tired...
Partnering with fine ladies all night is such an exhausting task.
Guy: Well done, young lord. You truly have the blood of the king running in your veins.
You are far more fit to sit the throne than that weak head family, wouldn't you say?
Page 22:
Louis: Indeed.
I could not agree more.
Box: Louis Philippe II
Later the Duke of Orléans
During the revolutionary era, he sought the expulsion of Louis the 16th.
He has deep ties to the execution of the king.
Louis: Speaking of which, has Latour been arrested yet?
I heard he betrayed the king by disapproving of his order to execute Griffin...
If he's successfully captured, then Chief of the Administration of Justice, Soulcié, will be under my control.
In an attempt to curry my favor, he'll allow me to choose the method of execution.
I'll be sure to make in an interesting one...
One so astonishing that it will bring the eyes of all of Versailles onto me...
