Narr: The battlefield has once again turned into a slaughter ground.
However, the roles have now been reversed.
Placed in a location with no freedom of movement,
the knights are being stomped out before their eyes.
In order to prevent all going down together,
those of the knight class shared a custom of accepting appeals for sparing one's life.
In other words, chivalry.
But these enraged mountain people
had no obligation to respect chivalry.
Unabashed at using cowardly tactics,
they ignored any summons to surrender, pleas to spare lives,
hopes of taking prisoners for ransom,
or any other undemanding between knights.

Page 181:
Narr: They allotted simple battle tactics to make use of every advantage
seeking purely to annihilate the enemy.
That was something the knights of medieval Western Europe
had never experienced.
It was a new form of war.
The era where knights being nobility controlled the battlefield had ended. In other words,
an era where armed ordinary members of the populace took a leading roles in war had begun.

Leo: Young Lord Duke,
your life will be in danger if you stay here.
You must escape!
Leo: Run?!
Me?!
I have never once pointed this shield's lion sigil at my enemy
and fled.
We are an elite group of seasoned warriors!
You expect us to turn our backs and flee from a bunch of commoners?!
Knight: Those very warriors are now truly in danger of being wiped out.
Lord Leopold, you are a most vital person to the house of Habsburg.
If he is to fight alone, the Elder Duke Friederick
will have a very intimidating fight in the upcoming battle against Duke Beyern!
It is your house's dearest desire for your elder brother
to claim the throne and rule the empire!

Page 185:
