People: What I'm saying is, if you hadn't stuck your big fat nose in when you did, we'd be rolling in reward money right now.
Are you serious? Look at the pot calling the kettle black.
Shut up! It's over now, whining about it is not going to do anything, yes?
I mean anyhow, you were...
Kagu: Ah, Sadaharu!
We're home!

Title: Lesson 664 Guard Dog
Author: Sorachi Hideaki
Utsuro: Pouring in everything, sacrificing all you have,
yet what you won from it all was so very little.

Page 4:
Utsu: All you have done is temporarily stripped my of my immortality.
Even having succeeded in that, unless your blades reach me, it will have no meaning whatsoever.
And I'm sure you're well aware
whose life force is burning
in order to produce that meager flame of hope.
As well as the fact
that that flame is already about to go out.
And as long as he clings onto that flame,
he will suffer until the end.

Page 5:
Utsu: I will not kill him,
you will.

Shin: Good morning.
Sorry I'm late. Sister caught a cold and it held me back a little.
Oh, good morning, Sadaharu.
I'm in luck. From the looks of things, I'm guessing everyone's still asleep?
Sada: ...........
Oh, I see.
I'm back, Sadaharu.
Sada: Wan!

Page 7:
Shin: Please.
Just wait for us
a little bit longer.
Kagura: Aah, it got us.
We should have gone home earlier, yes? We are going to get soaked.

Page 8:
Kagura: ..........
I really don't like
damp walks home like this.
A wet road,
a house where no one's waiting for you.
I start remembering things like that without meaning to.
Hm?
Sadaharu?
Where did he get off to...?
SFX: GARARA
Kagu: .........
I'm home!
Sada: WAN!
Kagu: Hey, you just got home, too!

Page 9:
Kagura: You were always there,
waiting for us to come home, weren't you?
SFX: CHUN CHUN
SFX: DOGASHAN
Gin: Uuuuuu

Page 10:
Gin: I'm never drinking again.
Handwritten: I'm worn out from throwing up so much
Gin: I know I say that every time, but this time I really swear I'm off the stuff for good.
Aw shit. My head hurts so much it feels like it's gonna split in half.
This is pain like never before. It's like an elephant's standing on my head.
Oh, great timing, Sadaharu.
I could use some help. I drank so much the elephant won't move from on top of my head. Could you bring me to the living room?
Sada: ..........
What's with that face?
You look like you want somethin'.
Okay, okay. The reason I'm able to go out and get plastered every night is thanks to my brave guard dog looking after my home.
I know. I even bought ya a souvenir. Go grab that bag.
Gin: It's monja(?), eat up.
OWOWOWOWOW! My head hurts even more!! And now it's dark!!
I'm gonna diiie!! Sadaharu, save meeee!!
SFX: ZUZUZU (DRGGG)
Gin: GUKEHOH
SFX: DOKAH
Gin: Ugu... Huh? I feel better.
Sadaharu, you cured me! I owe you one man, thanks!
Oh, and I'm home!
Sada : ...Wan.

Page 11:
Gin: We're gonna come home
just like we always do, okay?
We're definitely coming back
to the guard dog that always protects our place to return to.
So Sadaharu,
you've gotta keep waiting for us like always.

Page 12:
Gin: We're not coming back
to the grave
of a guard dog that protected everyone's place to come home to.
SFX: DOH
Gin: We're coming home to our Yorozuya.
The place where you howl 'welcome home' when we come through the door.

Utsu: Too bad.
It would seem that the sealed Dragon Vein
has come back to life.
It's over.
He,
your flame of hope,
has disappeared.
Insert: What is the fate of Earth, and Sadaharu...?!
