それにブラックドッグにはもうひとつ能力がある
And the black dog also has a special ability.

遠吠え（ハウリング）による召還術。。。
It can use summoning magic through howling…

聖人化
Saint Transformation

聖人と呼ばれる人間は脳に隠されている特殊な器官（聖人回廊）が活性化しているおかげで奇跡を起こすことが可能になる。この器官は魔術によて一時的に活性化することがでくる。
People that are called Saints have special instruments (Saint’s Pathway) in their brain that, once activated, allows them to perform miracles. These can be activated through magic for a short period time.

ブラックドッグを召還モードにさせてその上で聖水による消滅を狙いやがったのか
Make the Black Dog go into summoning mode and destroy it using holy water huh.

聖水はほとんどなんの攻撃力もないが魔法陣の塊みてーな召還門にはテキメンに効く　何より魔法力をつかわねぇ
Holy water has little to no offensive power but it’s very effective against clusters of magic circles like a summoning gate and of all things, it doesn’t take any mana to use.

あのファイヤーアローの並行励起はブラックドッグを召還モードにさせるための誘い水ってことだな。。。
So that means the consecutive use of Fire Arrows was just to provoke Black Dog into summoning mode.

。。。つまり
…In other words…

Notes:
P31 –“聖人化” Literally means Saint-ification or transforming into a saint or saint mode. I chose to use Saint transformation because it’s closer to the original meaning than the others.

I’ve decided to change “magicians” to “mages” because mage sounds better than magician.
I’ve also changed some of the uses of magic to mana instead since it will be confusing if I keep using magic for both 魔力 ,魔術 and some others that I might have forgotten about.
