I believe the reference is to, Mou ikutu neruto oshougatsu, [Lit: If you keep on sleeping, it'll be new years] Before you know it, it's new years. And she's making new years greeting cards. If anyone knows a better t/l of this idiom, lmk.

Update: Oh, I thought of an Idiom that might work. "In a Blink of an Eye." Well, the problem is really that, Mou ikutu neruto oshougatsu is pretty much a set idiom having to do with new years, and I don't think there are any in English relating to new years like that. Of course you could put, "If you keep on sleeping..." But yeah, it wouldn't really reflect what the chapter is about, but neither does "Before you know it." Maybe it'll be best to just add "It's New years" to the title.
