Hanashippanashi Omake 1
Afterword
Hanashippanashi "afterword"

Instead of an afterword
Hanashippanashi
the beginning
At night, when I was passing through a nearby shrine.
Oh yeah...
The body of the dead cat that I saw in the afternoon,
It might have that mother cat that was taking care of the kittens here.
They used to play a lot at around Inari's shrine [Inari, Uka-no-mitama, the God of harvests]
I guess I should go take a look...
... It's completely dark.
Page 252
Someone's there...
*Nya- *Nya-
For some reason I felt like it'd be bad to interrupt.
Page 253
Ah
... Sorry...
She sure moved like a cat, I thought.
What if that was the ghost of the dead cat?
YOU SAW, DIDN'T YOU~
Kya-~
Yeah right.
The next morning, I went over there again.

Ah...
*Su- Su- [Zzz Zzz]
That wasn't the ghost of the cat, it was just a Kitsune. [Kitsune, or foxes are the messengers of Inari]
... And from all that happened, that's roughly the experience that I had that was the seed that led me to write, "On a day you can hear the band" [Not sure what the English title ended up being, I forget, but check for consistency]
And drawing, "On a day..." was the seed that led me to start "Hanashippanashi."
If any of the stories in "Hanashippanashi" become a "seed of imagination" for even a single person who read it, that would be a blessing. [That would make me very happy]
[I made the decision to keep the "seed" part in all of the previous parts so I could use the "seed of imagination" phrase he uses at the end]
