Coffee Time
1
Text (from right to left): If only there was coffee there.
Text: Really!?
Text: A number of dramas woven by the hand of Toyada Tetsuya.
Text (bottom): Chapter 1 "Whatever I want"

2
Girl: Mmph.
Text: Seeking a cup of relaxation, she heads to the usual cafe.
The first story of this new serial starts with a cello playing woman.

3
Girl: One blend.
Master: Oh? You're early today.
Girl: Yeah, the wind is strong and people aren't passing by so I'm done for today.
Girl: Ah, and give me some pancakes too.

Man: Tasty?

4
Girl: Huh?
Man: Ah, I mean, is it good?

Girl: Um, yes it's good.

Man: I see. Well that's good
Girl: ....

Man: We Italians enjoy drinking strong roasted coffee with milk and sugar but that is mainly because we use robusta coffee beans.
Girl: Oh, so you're Italian.
Man: However, many Japanese people drink their coffee straight, and I think that is because they are using arabica coffee beans.
Man: Furthermore, I think the Japanese are sensitive to the bland taste of additives, such as Inosinic acid and Glutamin acid, and do so to enjoy the natural flavors of the raw ingredients

Girl: ... I see

Man: The coffee that comes from the cafes in Tokyo are all good.

5
Man: This cafe's is especially wonderful. If its possible I'd really love to have one more cup.
Man: However I carelessly left my credit card at the hotel and don't have any change.
Man: And I do not think I'll be returning to this cafe. That is my only regret.

Man: At the very least... just one more cup.
Man: However, that too, is another regret.

Girl: Um... If you'd like, shall I treat you to a cup?

Master: Here are your Pancakes.
Girl: Ah, Master, I'll be paying for his cof-
Man: Espresso!!
Man: With the hard roast!

Man: Mmm, Its great.
Girl: ....

Man: Are you a professional Cellist?

6
Girl: Hmm, well... somewhat.
Man: I was watching you play from over here.
Man: I couldn't hear the music, but I could tell from your brilliant playing, benissimo!

Girl: Ah, thank you.
Girl (thoughts): Is he serious?

Man: Actually, in Italy I work as a stage manager for the Orchestra.

Girl: Oh, really?
Man: Um, you are familiar with Riccardo Muti, yes?

Girl: Yes, of course.
Man: He is my sister in law's sister's husband's good friend.

7
Girl: Ah.
Man: Some years ago when he came here for the Japanese production of "Macbeth," I also came along.
Man: And from that, I became interested in Japan, and came every so often.

Girl: ... That's Riccardo Frizza isn't it? (From Noda Hideki's...)
Man: What!? Was that it? Ah yes, Frizza! Frizza Frizza!

Man: ...
Girl: ...

Girl: So where were you a stage manager?
Man: Ahmm, Fenice! The Orchestra Del Teatro La Fenice!

Man: Unfortunately the stage burned down so the plays have stopped.
Man: It was great stage that had such history and yet...

Girl: ... Fenice has been rebuilt and reopened for ages.

8
Girl: Huh?
Girl: What?

Man: I lied about being a stage manager.

Girl (thoughts): Speak up...
Man: Actually I'm an architect.
Girl: Ah.

Man: When I was young I came across Da Vinci's "De Architectura."
Man: I was deeply attracted to the portion where it spoke of the relationship between architecture and music.
Man: Aren't both the products of harmony and senses, grounded in mathematics?
Man: From that book I was guided into the world of architecture that was a synthesis of the arts.

9
Girl: Wasn't "De Architectura" by Vitruvius?
Man: Eh?!

Man: ...
Girl: ...

Girl: Even so, your Japanese is really good.

Man: Um, my former lover was Japanese.
Man: She was a beauty like Michiyo Aratama and she taught me Japanese.

Man: Actually, I'm a movie director.
Girl: Is that so?

Man: It's true! This is true! Pasolini! Antonioni! Visconti!
Girl: O-ok! I believe you!

Man: I was planning to make Japan the stage of my next film and I came here location hunting.
Girl: Ah.

Man: There I found an amazing artist.

10
Man: It's you!
Man: You're the muse of Tokyo! You're a huge inspiration for me!!
Man: And so, I have a favor to ask of you!
Girl: What is it?

Man: Could you lend me around 50000 Yen?

Girl: No way.

Man: What!?

Man: It's jest friggen 50000 Yen...
Girl: What!?

Girl: What? What did you just say?
Man: Eh? Um, er...
Girl: That was perfect intonation!
Girl: Are you really even Italian!?

Man: Ah, it's already so late! I've got a meeting with the staff.

Man: Sorry, please take care of this.
Girl: Huh!?
Man: Next time we meet I'll treat you to a 3 star restaurant.

Man: 'Till next time! Arrivedecci!!
Girl: What the heck was up with him?

11
Girl: What!? He had 5 cups!?
Master: Yes, and he also had two Napoleons.

Girl: Dammit! That fake foreigner!!
Master: So altogether that's 3950 Yen.

Friend: Did something happen, you look pretty tired.
Girl: Well, yesterday was pretty bad.
Friend: What happened?

Girl: Well... that is-
Friend: Oh! It's Morelli!

12
Friend: He came to Japan! He's probably promoting his new film.
Girl: Ah!!

Friend: Did you know? Morelli's mother is Japanese.
Friend: But he can't speak Japanese.
Girl: ....

Girl: Kuk

Girl: Kukukuku
Friend: Huh? Did something happen?
Girl: No, its just... hahaha
Girl: Ahahahahaha!!

Friend: ... Are you ok?
Girl: I'm ok I'm ok hahahaha
Girl: Ahahahaha!!

notes:
Thanks Conclusion for the help w/ the names.

The Napoleons that he has, they're given as "mille feuilles." I guess its more common known as Napoleons in the states, but I don't know if that's regional.

The joke about his intonation being perfect when he's complaining doesn't translate well.

He asks for 50000 yen.
It's actually 'gurutamin', i.e. glutamic acid.
It should be Pasolini (his name is indeed spelled with a zo in katakana).
It's Riccardo Frizza (rhymes with pizza), hence Furittsua.
If you were still wondering, the other two directors are Luchino Visconti & Michelangelo Antonioni.

Thank you for the translation! This looks like it'll be a good one!
