Kanno: When I asked about it more it seems like he wasn't employed at the detective agency but was subcontracted

Kanno: Well don't they get sent out when they don't have enough manpower or when there's some incident that can't be handled by the main branch?

Kanae: Huh? Then he's got to be pretty good, right?

Kanno: That's not it, is it? Rather than it being something they can't take care of, it's cases that they don't want to take care of that they're sent out on, isn't it?

やばい割には　解決しても社にとってメリットのない仕事とかー　わかんないけど
Kanno: For a relatively dangerous job, even if they solve it, it'd be a job that's of no merit to the main agency- Well I don't know...

まあ　腕はともかく　何かクセの強い人らしくてさ鼻つまみ者なんじゃないの
Kanno: Well, putting that aside, isn't he sketchy? doesn't he seem pretty fishy?

Aunt: Somehow, he's al-ways wobbling around in that area, trying to catch the ducks in the stream or conning people at the pachinko parlor. He's always up to no good.

The days as it's always been return. That important peace continues as it is fractured. Through these calm days, no matter how long, the wound never heals.

A weapon that they've caught a glimpse of. The normalcy that they have grown accustomed to. The dark clouds that draw near. The days where it's all pieced together still haven't approached.

Notes;
Here's Sabu-jii
I didn't know what to do with his title so I just left it as is. Guess you could translate it Old man Sabu or Grampa Sabu or something. Might be easier just to keep his title as is since it gets annoying to add that in every time you want to use his name.

shorts = panties but for some reason she makes the distinction of calling it that. Are there really $120 panties?

Apres-guerre is the french word which the katakana apure refers to. It means "post war." Since I couldn't think of a synonym for "Post-war" and to just repeat it would be redundant I just left it as the french. Have fun editing that :P

The one line i'm not really sure about is how I should be translating
"iitoshikoite" I originally had, "For your age" but usually I see it when people refer to someone being old. Still, it doesn't seem abnormal (to me anyways) for old people not to be perverted, this being manga and all, but idk.
