Firstly, let me thank you for all the support you’ve shown for my works, including this new project <Happy Tennis>. Readers who understand me better would probably know this – sports manga has a held a lot of meaning for me as I grew up. One series, Tetsuya Chiba sensei’s work - <I am Powerful Boy> (剑道好小子), had provided hope and encouragement to me, who has been sickly since young. The attitude of never giving up, never looking back and to constantly challenge one’s limits really touched my heart and made me change myself. For a series to provide such a massive influence to a child’s soul,

My respect towards mangaka grew then on. When I myself actually became a mangaka, I itched to try writing a sports manga – a genre that I loved since young. However, my preference and the market’s preference had a large difference. For a Hong Kong manga, a hard-cover manga is already non-mainstream. The number of sports manga was even lesser.
Fortunately, <Feel 100%> had your support, allowing original hard-cover works to have a chance of survival in the local market. This series, <Happy Tennis>, can be said to be the fulfilment of my wish, as well as a test. It can act as a warm-up for me before I complete the ideas for a new romance manga! Please do allow me to be wilful for once!
<Happy Tennis> will be completed as a 2-parts manga, hopefully you’ll accept this kind of pure and goals-in-mind manga!
In these recent years, I’ve developed a huge change in my perspective of life and romance. You can say that I’ve had a deeper understanding of them. Hence, my works from now on would no longer contain the perfect kind of romance where people would always make up with one another, but of a romance that is more human, and seems closer to reality. So, this series, <Happy Tennis>, would be my final work of perfect romance before I cleanse myself of them and create works with my changed perspective.
