T: The levels sectioned off by the Megastructure intertwine endlessly, shaping The City. 100 years ago, the Unseen One left The City, and the guardians of the City ceased to show themselves. With that, all of the intelligence of The City etched into the Megastructure disappeared as well.

B: At the time when the fourteenth sacrifice appeared, Sakijima-san, a clairvoyant, caught sight of an Exterminator in the lowest bacterial bed in the spire.
B: Corpses that were no longer capable of moving were often spotted. This Exterminator, however, appeared as if it had just been newly-made.
B: The village chief, Hijikaze-san had lived in the City during his youth, and was the only man in all the villages who bore a Transmission Terminal Implant.
B: Incidentally, the chief was currently receiving life enhancement therapy at the time, and so the length of his body had greatly increased.
