Paradise Kiss 1

If you enjoy Nana, this is another great manga by Yazawa Ai that you should check out! :D

Hayasaka Yukari is a high school student who has no idea what she wants to do with her future. She struggles with her grades, the emptiness of simply studying and her attempt to live up to the expectations of those around her. But her life begins to change when she's scouted to be a model for the yearly fashion show at Yazagaku (Yazawa School of Arts) and she is faced with an entire world outside her textbooks. This manga explores the themes of independence, family, etc and definitely definitely love (of the josei sort, with a dash of sex to spice things up XD).

Although set in the Gokinjyo world (probably about 10 years after the famous manga), Paradise Kiss is of more mature content, falling in between Gokinjyo and Nana. But because it's set after Gokinjyo Monogatari, those characters come up every now and then. Plus, if you have read Gokinjyo, did you ever wonder what happened to the three little kids in the omake at the end of book 7? Well you'll find out in Paradise Kiss ;)

I think it's a really great story, which is why I started this translation, so I really hope people enjoy it!
