Page 2, Yukinoshita Beniume / 雪の下紅梅
Yukinoshita is a variety of flower. Literally saying "beneath snow", it is white on the top and red beneath. Beniume is a red-blossom plum tree. I wasn't sure, but Yahoo's JP dictionary also refers to a specific layering of cloth by this name, with a surface of white and underside of reddish pink.

The Genpei War lasted from 1180-1185, and the Warring States period (Sengoku Jidai) in Japan lasted from mid-15th century to the late 16th or early 17th century.
