三目八面 / Mitsume Yazura
A youkai with three eyes and eight faces, who lived on a mountain called Saruyama, and attacked and devoured passersby, until he was killed by purifying fires set on the mountain. Because his corpse was said to be so huge, he gained a reputation in some areas as being a huge eight-headed snake.
