Hot Blood and Utter Defeat
The yaoi undertones in this chapter are hilarious. I mean, seriously, so many lines in the chapter can be taken out of context and thought to be straight out of a yaoi/BL manga XD

To Ashirogi Muto-sensei
Congratulations on the serialisation of "Detective TRAP"!! I am very happy for you. I have been a huge fan of Ashirogi-sensei since I read "Money and Intelligence" in Akamaru Jump! Both "Money and Intelligence" and "Detective TRAP" are different from other manga in Jump, and I like the darker atmosphere they have. I have been drawing stuff that is sort of like manga since I was in my sixth year of elementary school, but now I'm determined to seriously become a mangaka like Ashirogi-sensei. (TN: @ typesetters, as you can see some of it is cut-off but I just c&p-ed the whole letter translation from ch117, so use your discretion :3)

b6: The first fan letter we received from Nanamine-kun
a1: We were his goal
a2: He aimed to outdo us...
b7: ...
b8: ... I doubt he's going to turn over a new leaf that obediently...
b9: Huh? Yeah...
b10a: I've practically never spoken to Nanamine-kun face-to-face, so I can't really say anything
b10b: But all we can do is leave things to Kosugi
04
b1: Ahhhh, geez, I've had enough!
b2a: To be honest, I guess I myself was only satisfied with "Shinjitsu no Kyoushitsu", on which I had the luxury of spending as much time as I wanted...
b2b: I'm through
b3: Hey... Nanamine-kun...
b4: Your serialization is still ongoing!
b5: Besides, didn't you promise me that if you lost to Ashirogi-kun, you'd start afresh with me!?
b6a: My defeat was way too uncool. It's over
b6b: No matter how much I struggle now, I'm just gonna get canceled at the next meeting anyway, no?
b7a: The next serialization meeting is on the 29th of January. In other words, the results of the chapters you draw from now will also be taken into consideration
b7b: If you can get it to rise on the rankings now, you might be able to avoid cancellation
b7c: It's too early to give up!
b8a: Get it to rise on the rankings?
b8b: How?
05
b1a: Thanks to that idiot Nakai, all my internet advisors are gone
b1b: Of course, Nakai gets the axe too
b2: I don't have anyone capable of that left
b3: That's why I'm asking you to work with me
b4: If I work with you, never mind rising - the rankings'd fall
b5a: In the first place, we were at sixteenth, sixteenth, nineteenth, and the latest manuscript I completed for issue #7 would also be around nineteenth, right?
b5b: There's no way it can fall any further, but with you around, it's clear as day that it's not gonna rise
b6: We won't know till we try, will we?
b7a: I'm telling you, I already know. Anyway, I can't stand being embarrassed
b7b: Hurry up and let me end this
b8: Don't joke around. Just how many rookies do you think there are out there who try so hard to get serialized, but never even make it that far?
b9a: Well, my quitting opens up a space to save one of them, no?
b9b: What could be better?
b10: ?
06
b1: !
b2: Wha... What the hell are you doing...!
b3a: I hate your guts but no matter what, the one thing about you I didn't hate was your attitude in wanting to be the best no matter what
b3b: No, on the contrary, I thought it was something respectable. Are you giving all that up!?
b4a: ... A violent editor... You're the worst...
b4b: So you're the kind of person who's so dumb he has to use his fists to get his point across, huh...
b5a: You think this is something common nowadays?
b5b: Or do you think assault...
b5c: I know
b6: I should just sue you for assault
07
b1a: There are already allegations of my having taken ideas from the internet... And of plagiarism
b1b: And now I'll be the mangaka who sued his editor for assault...
b1c: There's no way the editorial division would want to keep an author like that, so they'll get me canceled even before the serialization meeting rolls around
b1d: And you get dismissed too
