山梨で発明品の新作発表会があってのォ・・・
There's a convention to present new inventions in Yamanashi...
Conan on the phone:
ああ・・・毎年2月の頭に博士が行ってるヤツね・・・
Oh...the thing that you go to every year in early February...
Professor:
その発表会を終え、帰る途中で突然動かなくなってしまったんじゃ・・・
We finished everything there and were on our way home when the car suddenly stopped moving

Professor:
レッカー移動してもらい、その車で近くのバス停まで乗せてってもらったんじゃが・・・
A tow-truck moved the car and took us to the nearest bus stop but...
Conan on the phone:
バスが来ねえのか？
The bus isn't coming?

Professor:

どこかに落としてしまったようでのォ・・・まあ、大して金は入ってないからいいんじゃが・・・
It looks like I dropped it somewhere...but well, there wasn't that much money so it's okay but...
Conan:
なるほど・・・オレに電話して小五郎のおっちゃんに車で迎えに来てくれって頼んで欲しかったんだろーけど・・・
I see...I bet you called me so I can ask Mr. Kogoro to pick you up but...

Conan:
おっちゃんなら浮気調査に出かけてていねぇぜ・・・

ええ・・・別に来たくなかったけど、１人で留守番したくもなかったのよ！
Yes, I didn't particularly want to come, but I didn't want to be home alone either!

Ai:
隣に得体の知れない不気味な人が住んでる・・・
With that creepy stranger living next door...
あの家ではね・・・
I don't want to be alone in that house...

Conan:
ああ、沖矢昴さんの事か？
あの人なら大丈夫だよ！いい人みたいだから・・・

そうだ！昴さんに車で迎えに来てもらえばいいんじゃねーか？
I have an idea! Why don't you have Mr. Subaru pick you up in his car?

Ai on the phone:
まさかあんた・・・
Wait a minute…

Ai:
あの人を自分の家に閉じ込めて見張ってるつもりじゃないでしょうね？
You’re not trapping him in your house so you can keep an eye on him are you?
私という餌をぶらさげて、あの人が動き出すかどうかを・・・
Using me as bait, you’re watching if he makes a move or not…

Conan:
バ、バーロ！んな事するかよ！
S, stupid! I would never!
Ai on the phone:
とにかく、何か理由をつけてあの人をあなたの家から追い出してくれない？
Anyway, it doesn’t matter what reason you give him but can you kick him out of that house?

Ai:
もしかしたらあの人からの情報で私が組織を裏切ったシェリーだという事も、組織に殺されたはずの工藤新一（あなた）がまだ生きているって事もバレているかもしれないわよ！そう・・・私達を秘密裡に消すために着々と事を進めて、もうすぐそばまで来てるかも・・・
Maybe he’s already told the rest of the gang that the I’m the betrayer, Sherry, and that you, who was supposed to have been killed by them, are still alive! Yes, they might be getting closer and closer to secretly erasing us…

Woman:
困ってるなら乗せてあげてもいいわよ！
If you’re in trouble, I can give you a ride!

Woman:
じゃあ、後ろに乗って・・・
Ok, ride in the back…
Ai:
どうやら帰れるメド立ったみたい
It looks like we’ve figured out a way to get home

Ai on the phone:
じゃあ、私達が帰るまでにあの人を追い出す理由を考えておいてもらうわよ！
So, I want you to have thought of a good reason to kick that guy out of your house by the time we get home!
Conan:
お、おい灰原？
He, hey Haibara?

Woman:
ちょっとつもいけど我慢してね！
It’s a little tight back there, but I hope you’re okay.

Professor:
つ、つもい？
T, tight?
Woman:
後部座席に荷物置いているから窮屈でしょ？
Isn’t it a little tight because I have my stuff back there?
SFX:
バン
<Closes door>

Ai:
ねぇ・・・それより教えてくれる？
So…anyway, can you tell me?
Woman:

That we didn’t have any money…

Professor:
さっき、ワシが電話してた声が聞こえたんじゃろ？
She probably heard me speaking on the phone earlier.
財布をなくした話をしてたから・・・
I mentioned how I lost my wallet…
Ai:
車の運転中に、道端で電話してる人の声が性格に聞き取れると思う？
Do you really think someone who’s driving can overhear what someone on the sidewalk is saying on the phone with accuracy?

Ai:
私達を追い越した所で車を止めたのならまだしも・・・
If she stopped the car after she bypassed us it would make a little more sense…
あなた、追い越す前に止めたわよね？
But you stopped even before you passed us.
Woman:
ああ・・・車を止めたのは・・・
Oh, I stopped the car because…

Woman:
バス停にいるのに、来たバスに乗車しなかったのが見えたからよ・・・
I saw that you were at the bus stop but you didn’t get on it.
Ai:
それで車を止めた時、電話で話す声が聞こえたっていうのかしら？
And when you stopped the car, are you saying you heard our phone conversation?

Woman:
いや、止めた時にそのおじいさんの胸の所についたシミが目に入ってね・・・
No, when I stopped, the smudge on the old man’s shirt caught my eye…

Professor:
ああ・・・これはコーラをこぼしてしまって・・・
Ohh, this is from when I spilled my Coke…

Woman:
それ、車のシートベルトしてる時にこぼしたんでしょ？その幅だけシミがついてないから・・・
That smudge, it got there when you were wearing your seatbelt, right? That’s why the smudge is split.
しかも、こぼしたのはついさっき・・・そんなシミ付きの服で出かけるわけないものね・・・
Plus, it hasn’t been that long since you spilled it…you wouldn’t go out wearing clothes with such a smudge…

・・・という事はさっきまで運転してたって事・・・
…which means you were driving a few moments ago…
なのに、あなた達のそばにはその車がない・・・
But, your car isn’t near by…

そして、さっき道端の自販機でコーヒーを買ってた時に・・・
And, when I was buying coffee from the vending machine earlier…
車を引っ張ってるレッカー車が通り過ぎたことを踏まえると・・・
I saw a car being towed, and if I put those facts together…

Woman:
もしかしたら、車がトラブってJAFを呼んでレッカー移動してもらい・・・そのついでにバス停まで乗せてってもらったけど・・・
I thought, maybe you had car trouble and you called JAF to move your car and take you to the bus stop but…
財布をなくした事に気づき、乗れなかったんじゃないかと思ってたわけ！
You realized you’ve lost your wallet, and you couldn’t get on the bus!

Professor:
全くその通りじゃ！！

Woman:

じゃあ、車出しても構わないかしら？

Professor:
米花町2丁目の・・・

確かに大きな傷があって厳めしい顔じゃったが・・・

じゃが、それだけで怪しいとは・・・
You can’t say he’s suspicious because of that…
Ai:

Ai:
運転席の裏に１か所・・・
There’s one on the back of the driver’s seat…

Ai:
この後部座席の左側のドアに・・・
And on the door of the back seat…

恐らくこれ、弾痕よ！
These are most likely bullet holes!
Professor thinks:
ええっ！？

それに、きれいに拭き取ったつもりでしょうけど・・・
And, these seats have been cleaned for the most part…

But there’s still some left in the stitching…
