double-header this week!
this one seems to have much more text so it may take me a bit longer.
french speakers, please give me confirmation if you can on my interpretations.
01
white: At long last, he heads to the surface!
-These must be the remains of humans who perished in this cloister...
-I had assumed that I too would be joining them...
02
-But who knew the day would come that I would be standing before this door
black: He heads to the "outside"...for the first time in his life!
the 13th act: The witches of seven days
Ishioka Shouei
bottom - SUMMARY - Behind Georges' betrayal was a man named d'Artagnan! His aim? To obtain the witches' power and assassinate the king of France! Then, Richelieu issues an order to Belmonde (who's now lost one eye) - "The time has come for you to join the outside world"!?
03
-Three days ago--
-This event has taught us too late that you aren't the only witches' decedent
-Yes...just like the man behind Georges' squad
-and those two, assuming from the way they made it through the wall
-My name's Medi. [メディ (medei)]
-A-and he's Swirl. [スワール (suwaaru)] (t/n - any other suggestions with the names?)
-(go on, introduce yourself!)
-NO!
04
-Although you may believe that you've been trapped underground for most of your life,
-Looking at it from a different perspective, you've been under protection
-Allow me to explain
-According to the Old Testament, the first humans God created
-Lived happily in the Garden of Eden. They were called Adam and Eve
-They were tempted to eat the forbidden fruit
-By a despicable creature, the "serpent"
05
-Adam and Eve, having eaten the fruit, incurred God's wrath, spelling the end of Eden
-Thereafter, all of their decedents have had to walk a a path of hardship and suffering
-Why the sermon, all of a sudden?
-I've known that story since I was an infant
-Because there's an additional part after, outside of the bible. It's a story passed down by the witches
-Allow us to handle the rest!
-"us"!?
-N-never mind, I'll do it alone (gosh!)
06
-I know it's off topic, but does everyone here like snakes?
-It's difficult to say yes
-Really? That's a shame
-I always have them by my side!
-Gross!
-I've trained them not to bite, so please relax
no bubble: hello~
-Are you all right, Monseigneur Richelieu?!
-...I'm fine.
no bubble: wasssup~
07
-According to the tale our ancestors have passed down, there's more after what happened to Adam and Eve
-It continues about the serpent like this:
-The lonely serpent envied the humans. Cursed to travel a path of hardship and suffering as well, it envied how the humans were able to support each other. Soon after, the serpent took human form and tried once again to come in contact with humans. However, the humans failed to forgive the serpent. So the serpent, having a special power, tried to help the humans. Humans labeled it is as a "witch,"* and used its power.
(*"Witch" is a term used without distinction for males or females)
-Simply put, our ancestors are labeled as that cursed existence in the Bible
-...they are the "serpent"
-Hou...how interesting
-That's not all
08
-With the passage of time, seven particularly strong witches appeared
The 1st - Lundi
The 2nd - Mardi
The 3rd - Mercredi
The 4th - Jeudi
The 5th - Vendredi
The 6th - Samedi
The 7th - Dimanche
-Patterned after the seven creative days of the Old Testament, they were called "the witches of seven days"
09
-Even though the witches used their power for the sake of mankind, they were continually despised. Thus, they decided to distance themselves from the world.
-And so, withdrawing to lands away from the peoples' cities, they set up their Bastions (居住地区).
//Brief Aside ---------------//
t/n - This took me a lot of deliberation. The kana there indeed says buuru (Boule), while the kanji means lit. "a section of residence". The only thing I can find that remotely makes any sense is this: [wikipedia]. A Boule was some sort of counsel of citizens that ran daily affairs in ancient greece, so it could refer to some sort of self-rule. But, context doesn't lead me to believe that it's referring to a government. The first thing that crossed my mind was Boulevard - but that doesn't make sense since it's just a road. Doing some research, boulevard comes from bolwark/bastion, and has some relation to rampart. A rampart is a defensive line, a bolwark/bastion is a fortification, like a giant wall, which encloses a city. It makes more sense IMO to say that these people walled themselves off from the world...so that's what I went with. Does anyone else have other ideas? please share.
//----------------------------//
-Centuries passed
-Witches became a forgotten existence to mankind
-...and that's how it ends.
-uwa! Swirl!! Let him go!!
-hm
-Your story is hard to swallow
-Aside from wether or not this story is true,
-Seven Bastions do indeed exist in our day.
10
-Swirl, as well as myself, belong to the Bastion considered to be established by the 1st witch Lundi
-That includes you, monsieur Belmonde
no bubble: yaaawn
-As well as your late mother
-hmph...it would seem everything I thought I knew couldn't be farther from the truth
-Now that you understand you aren't the only witch in this world,
-Dare I say it...
11
-Your existence is still special
-...why is that?
-Because you are able to wield the "Seven Swords of Creation"
-Each of the swords contains the power of the original seven, forged on their deathbeds
-Only those who meet a specific requirement may yield them
12
-And that requirement is...you must possess the eye that perceives truth--the "Penetrating Eye"
-In each Bastion, only one is born with it, and you happen to be that person for us Lundi
-...hou
-What the hell!? Don't you realize how important that eye you lost was!?
-Swirl, calm down!
-What I fear the most
-Is that part of the squadron that stole your eye was a man who at one time was used personally by the king
-You mean Porthos?
-Correct
13
-Along with Athos and Aramis, these valiant men were once called "The Three Musketeers"
-It is believed that behind them was a man called d'Artagnan
-Without a doubt, he was this country's greatest hero
-For the Cardinal to be saying that, he must be quite an individual
-However, three months ago, he suddenly went missing
-And then this happened
14
-My experience as one of the politicians who operates this country
-tells me that this is an omen of something terrible to come
-So what are you planning to do about this missing hero-turned-witch?
-Send me out to find him?
-I'm afraid so. Although searching frantically for him, the royal guard have found nothing.
-Since you have your own means of searching, I thought I'd ask you all
-..."you all"?
-He means us
-If we don't retrieve your eye, it'll cause huge problems after all
-Keh
15
-But according to my father's-side grandfather, I am supposed to remain confined here
-I'll take responsibility and work out the details
-That means the only problem is whether or not you want to venture outside
-And, as I'm sure you are already well aware...
-Your stolen left eye,
-Your childhood friend Georges who's ran away
-The existence of other witches such as yourself...
16
-Your ties to the outside world
-Have become so strong that you can no longer avoid them
-hm...your intuition is as good as ever, Cardinal
-I thought this place was my life
-But it would seem my destiny is temping me to leave
-As reward for your services, I will prepare whatever you desire
-You can ask those two for the details later
-Please start as soon as you can

18 - FINALLY!!
19
-So this is what the sky really looks like
-It really is high...
-A-
-are...you B-belmonde?
-nn....
-aa...aa... (cough(??))
-Master d'Artagnan has a m-message for you--
-It looks like the second chapter of my life is about to begin!
white: There's no time to be sentimental!
the 13th act/end
next time: What has d'Artagnan done to his messenger!?
-END-
Wow, this was definitely the longest chapter in a long time.
Major plot changes I'd say. Hmm, looks like this comic really will have a long run in jump if it plays its cards right.
typesetters - proofread one more time, i made one or two changes.

I'd go with "bulwark/bastion". Both mean, the first in English and the second one in Spanish and French: a protective structure of stone or concrete; extends from shore into the water to prevent a beach from washing away.
Basically, Castle-like structures. Those are my two cents.
