Onihige: Attention! Our morning assembly today will be a once-a-year address directly by the principal about your many concerns.
Onihige: The results of the ways of life and death of men will be spoken of leading to the Japanese way with the worsening grim international situations. All of you will listen to your heart!
Onihige: Now, the principal.
Student 1: Once a year…………
Student 2: Damn, this will be a long speech.

Edajima: I AM THE PRINCIPAL OF OTOKOJUKU, EDAJIMA HEIHACHI!
Edajima: That’s all.
Staff: Thank you very much!
Onihige: Those are seriously stern words every time I hear it.
Helmet: So much emotion. Those words now summarized everything. (I’m glad)

(TN: Though it really doesn’t show it, “Gottsuan” is actually a formal version of “thank you” used by sumo wrestlers)
Matsuo: But I don’t get our principal.
Tazawa: It’s unbelievable, but there’s a rumor that he graduated valedictorian at Tokyo Imperial University (now Tokyo U) and he served as a rear-admiral in the Navy during World War II.
(TN: Just a bit of information to understand: the university was actually founded as “Tokyo University” in 1877, and then became “Imperial University” in 1886 & “Tokyo Imperial”, the name that Edajima went under, between 1887 & 1947. After the war, it returned to “Tokyo University”, which it has been through this day)
Hidemaro: It’s no wonder Japan lost.
Onihige: Matsuo, Hidemaro, Tazawa!!

Inoyama: Fufufu, you’re the principal? Let me refresh you on the Ratsukyou University Cheering Corp, first, call me the leader Inoyama.
Inoyama: Actually, we have four of your teachers and students. We want you to come and pick them up but…whatever you do, the typical students at our university can sustain an amazing amount of damage.

Police: Ri…right, this is a movie……that’s what it is. If that’s what we’re thinking, then a real tank is grandly running midday…so then, what’s the movie title!?
Edajima: “I Am Edajima”, a youthful action Taiga romance.
(TN:A "Taiga" is a type of historical drama set in a past period, whether it be film or TV-based.)

Inoyama: Are…are those police stupid? Damn, that senile guy is fooling around with us.
Edajima: Fufufu, this folly of reaping what you sow can be thrown away. Just let me have back those four!

Edajima: Uwahaha, guess I can’t. It seems like the barrel has rusted in the 40 years since I pulled it out.
Police 1: It’s a great direction to insert a gag into this tense scene.
Police 2: U—mm, this is a really artistic movie.

(TN: Yeah, I probably could have used “Heihachi Edajima” here but with the way he refers to himself, it makes sense to be consistent)

Edajima: You brats---!!
Police 1: There’s incredible intensity in the action scenes too.
Police 2: The blood he’s using is chicken and such. It’s truly no different from the famous actors.
Toughs: Ooh, he’s jumping into the tank again!!
Edajima: Uwahaha---!!

Toughs: Uwa--!!
Edajima: Hoo, that’s going to cost money.
Audience: He’s freely destroying his huge set.
Inoyama: Sa…save me--!!
Police: U—m, that’s one of the actors.
Inoyama: This isn’t some film shoot………………

Onihige: Damn, usually I don’t understand what he’s thinking, but this really is our principal.
Matsuo: Look, he’s saving our lives.
Edajima: Cu—t! OK, thanks.
Hikouboshi: To the final scene, where the protagonist leaves having defeated the evil one.
Police 1: This movie will be a hit.
Police 2: Ooh, what an emotional final scene.
Hikouboshi: Good good, let’s leave quickly.
HIdemaro: They’re…going…
Tazawa: He just wanted to run amuck after all.
Matsuo: What then will happen to us…
Edajima: I am the principal of Otokojuku, Edajima Heihachi.

TN: There is an important lesson to be learned from this incident: never sell fundoshi thinking it will bring back national pride because your principal will not save you at all...or something like that. This was a fun chapter to do mostly due to Edajima destroying everything in his path. Can't say the same about some of the translations, particularly when the 1st years and Onihige invade the university to sell the fundoshi but that was just build-up for the hilarious madness. I'd see a movie pulled off like that though...though I doubt the staff are going to release the footage.
