Nakashima: At a railway near our school, there was an accident where one of our girl students was flipped by a train.

Nakashima: “Hinano Yayoi”, the victim, died instantly.

Nakashima: The terrifying subject wasn’t “The Ghost Story of the Lower Body”. It had changed to our nearby Mimura-sensei.
Voice: Hey, I may have finally caught Mimura-sensei.
Nakashima: …So----…what’s that, teacher?
Yotsuya: Nfufu
Yotsuya: There’s a rumor being whispered around the school now of the “Theft of Girl Legs Incident”.
Nakashima: Yes, everyone here and there have been clamoring about it.
Yotsuya: This isn’t pleasing.
Nakashima: What?
Yotsuya: The criminal has to be caught immediately. And then in the blink of an eye, the truth concerning Hinano Yayoi will be erased from people’s memories. There isn’t a similarity.
Yotsuya: …A ghost story is a thing that gets handed down. But “truth” is different. “Truth” is a thing that disappears immediately with the clamor. Isn’t that really pitiful?

Nakashima: Though you can say that, how do we get the truth…And those dolls? Can’t you use them for a trap?

Yotsuya: Can exactly be returned to its owner.

Mimura: …During class, there was a story by a student of “The Legs searching for a body. It is really ridiculous.
Yotsuya: HAHAHA! IT IS! IT’S RIDICULOUS THAT THE UPPER-BODY WOULD BE LOOKING FOR THE LOWER-BODY!
Yotsuya: --But if she had a lower body.

Yotsuya: The man carried back the legs and every day satisfied his heart by gazing at them.—But since that day, whenever we pass by the side of the rails

Yotsuya: You’re the same as the man. Do you understand the truth? She was cornered at that time. The girl with the pretty legs who jumped into the train is searching for her legs.

(TN: Won’t translate this, it speaks for itself with the amazing art between “legs” and “bones”. A weird pun though regarding the connection of this tale: “kotsu”, the sound that was made over and over, is “click” when read one way…but is also a reading for the kanji for “bones”)

Mimura: (saying “Kotsu”/”Click”/”Bones” over and over)

Yotsuya: …HUH? MIMURA-SENSEI SEEMS TO HAVE SEEN SOMETHING. HEE HEE HEE
Nakashima: --Afterwards, Mimura-sensei was arrested.
Nakashima: The half of Hinano Yayoi soaked in formaline reunited in with the fragments of herself in the earth several weeks later.
Nakashima: The ghost story that Yotsuya-sensei had started from “lizard tail” (out loud) What did Mimura-sensei see?

Nakashima: The curtain inadvertently connected to the actual "Girl Corpse Concealment" incident closed.
Nakashima: SO WAS YAYOI-SENPAI ACTUALLY A GHOST?
Yotsuya: ...--Whether she was or she wasn't will never be revealed.
Yotsuya: But I believe that Mimura-sensei though that Hinano Yayoi was there. From that moment, Hinano Yayoi was actually there. Thus the ghost story brought about the girl's existance.
Nakashima: So then, What Mimura-sensei saw possibly was your...
Yotsuya: ISN'T THERE A PERSON BEHIND YOUUUUUU
Nakashima: GYOWA--
Yotsuya: ~~~ (internally) ---A lie or a truth? A truth or a lie?

TN: It's sort of strange: I usually don't do one-shots and just decided to do it on a whim, having not read it or know what it would be about and what it would entail. But I guess a bit of boredom (and not wanting to rush too far ahead on my projects) made me decide to do this just to see how I could handle something I have no idea what to expect or where to go. And to tell the truth...I really liked this tale quite a bit. I don't know if there's enough to make a manga series out of it but the author had a fun concept and idea in regards to a ghost-story telling teacher and how he illuminates his concepts with a bit of horror and mystery mixed in. (reminded me a bit of Nube but the art style was either similar to Matsui or Nishino...could be an assistant but can't say or tell) Sort of hoped you liked it too...and hope I did a good job with it.
