Morita: I’m not worried at all. Outside is the president of the Gougakuren, who is holding back a thousand warriors that he leads himself. I may have lost to you too, but those other fourteen are coming with. My duty as the advanced guard has achieved enough.
Momotarou: Fufufu, well it seems they disgusted the courtesy from the demons in hell.
Morita: Wh…what……!!

Matsuo: What…!? We’re still alive……
Onihige: Wahhahah, sorry for what I did, all of you did a just duty!! That was an impressive match with great intensity!!
Onihige: All of you drinking poison was a complete lie!! That was merely a numbing drug.
Onihige: Kakkaka, the horror of being confronted with death was a good test---!! Due to your effort, we’ve gathered enough donations from those unblessed people.

Togashi: But of course. We didn’t even think of such an outrageous thing. However, the after-effect of that numbing drug we drank is that our limbs can move by their own will.
Onihige: Wh…what---!?

TN: It's somewhat bizarre that the fun rugby match of the previous chapter suddenly turned into a life-or-death showdown between Momo and Morita, but at the same time it was another fun and accomplished chapter with a couple interesting reveals. The means by while Momo is forced to stab his (seemingly) dying body and listening to the (seemingly) dying wish of Togashi and the rest of his rugby compatriots was powerful, definately showing that he and the Otokojuku boys are willing to die or put their lives on the line in order to claim victory. Likewise, Morita showed himself as a sick individual but not without his honor in wanting to personally kill Momo before he died of the poison. But then there was the ending...which in a weird way was perfect for this sort of series: Onihige faking the poison with a numbing drug just to see how the whole first-year class would react to the thought of death...yeah, at least now we know why they were doing this behind the back of Edajima. (and that's not going into the 'using rugby to increase our own pay' scam...at least those three know who to look out for) But strangely while this could normally be the end of an arc...well, the leader of the Gougakuren isn't going to let this end that easily, as we'll see next time!
