Sakigake!! Otoko Juku 56
Face Fists with Fists!
-> RTS Page for Sakigake!! Otoko Juku 56
The first battlefield of the Paaren Seiha may have steel floors and magnetic shoes, but J has one thing on his mind: settling his score with Henshouki! But on an unfavorable battleground, can he do it...where Raiden has an advantage!?
Chp. 56: Face Fists with Fists!
180.
Wan Taaren: Kiryuu Gate of the Daiishin Paaren Seiha: the Jikan Hyakuchuurin Fight! Otokojuku Third-Year Side: Henshouki, Manjimaru; on the First-Year Side: J, Raiden!!
181.
Matsuo: But to exchange players, they must hand off the Shaenban inserted into that Chinyao Chishe……………………
Tazawa: In short, this is in place of the tag of a pro-wrestling tag match.
Hidemaro: If this is a tag match, then the combination of the two is a big thing…J and Raiden, can those sullen duo companions do that?
Date: This is bad……………………However you see this, the match is bad in terms of J.
Date: Roughly, Henshouki’s Nanchouji Kyoutaiken is an as-you-please ever-changing fist, tempered for all natural conditions of Chinese Kenpou. Regardless of how much a boxing genius J is, this is different than in the ring: he can’t freely utilize his power on that foothold.
Momotarou: Face Kenpo with Kenpo……no matter how you see it, Raiden has to appear here. But can the high-prided J hand the match to Raiden so easily………!?
Wan Taaren: BEGIN!!
182.
Henshouki: NANCHOUJI KYOUTAIKEN: CHUUKUU HYOUKEN!!
(TN: “Chuukuu Hyouken” = “Mid-Air Possession Fist”)
Henshouki: I’ll show you my techniques aren’t just Tenbin Shouha.
J: !!
183.
J: Gufu!!
Tazawa: Aah, J is---!!
184.
J: Nuu!!
Henshouki: Uwahhahaha, what’s wrong with your Mach Punch……………
Toramaru: This really is bad…………
Date: That J is aiming his blows, but he can’t find an opening if he can’t use footwork on that foothold.
Date: After all, in front of kenpou, boxing is equivalent to child’s play!!
185.
J: Gu!!
Henshouki: SPIRITED--!!
Matsuo: Damn, if they fight on that level, that guy won’t even have to look!!
Tazawa: J, switch!! You should switch with Raiden for the moment--!!
186.
Henshouki: Fufufu, I should face your ally. Instead of always holding fake courage, how about if you speak to me frankly?
J: Don’t laugh at me……….!! Have you forgotten…that I struck your big mouth with you speaking as you are now?
Henshouki: Fu, that was for your prided Fist of Fury. But that’s all it was. Have you thought about your life………
Henshouki: TENBIN SHOUHA!!
J: Guo!!
Togashi: J--!!
187.
J: !!
J: Huh…!!
Raiden: Leave him to me here. This Daiishin Paaren Seiha can’t be won with just one power.
Raiden: What’s more important than anything is teamwork. We’re allies together for life and death, we have to believe in each other.
J: …………………………!!
Raiden: It’s best to rest for a bit……………this fight will still goes on from here.
188.
First-Year: It’s Raiden!!
Tazawa: Well, Raiden has emerged switching with J--!!
Date: Daioujou-ryuu’s specialty is physical techniques for killing. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen this………Raiden…This truly is a stage you can take.
(TN: Reminder: “Daioujou-ryuu” = “Peaceful Death-Style”)
Henshouki: Fufufu, well you seem to use kenpou too. But you’re not my enemy.
189.
Henshouki: Fu, Daioujou-ryuu…now I can face one who uses that kenpou…………
Henshouki: Nuha--!!
Henshouki: Uh!!
190.
Henshouki: Chii!!
Matsuo: Amazing, what a light body!!
Tazawa: Damn, that Raiden, can he do this!!
Henshouki: Fuffu, you’re joking with me.
191.
Henshouki: But you can’t defeat me if you just keep running around.
Raiden: I’ve already seen your movements!!
192.
Henshouki: Uh!!
Henshouki: Gya!!
Henshouki: Gufu!!
Henshouki: !!
193.
Raiden: DAIOUJOU-RYUU: KAKUSOKU KAIKEN!!
(TN: “Kakusoku Kaiken” = “Crane-Leg Rotating Fist”)
Henshouki: Hii!!
Date: Fufufu, he’s cutting thrugh with terrible techniques, that Raiden…
Momotarou: So then, the user of kenpou is different from an actor.
194.
Manjimaru: You have to deal with it. You don’t have a path to live unless you defeat him………
Henshouki: ……………………Right……
Henshouki: TENBIN SHOUHA---!!
195.
Raiden: HMPH!!
Henshouki: Wh…what……!!
Henshouki: Ugua!!
196.
Henshouki: Uwaaa--!!
Matsuo: He really did it, Raiden’s got a complete victory---!!
Tazawa: This makes it two-on-one. We’ll kill that Manjimaru when he comes out at once!!
Henshouki: S...save me……………
Henshouki: I’ve lost. I admit my defeat. Give…give me a hand.
Henshouki: I’m…sorry…………..
J: WATCH OUT, RAIDEN!!
197.
Henshouki: Uwahhaha, that idiot completely fell for it!!
Raiden: A fake arm!!
J: RAIDEN---!!
(End of Volume 6)
TN: I need to say this again considering that it just never gets tiresome: Raiden is the man. Not just a man, just "the man". From the moment he took over the match against Henshouki to even his cliffhanger where the maniac tricked him leading to a potentially fatal wound, the Daioushou-ryuu warrior had the advantage through and through! But as for why he ended up failing in the end...I think it's more just his style: Raiden just doesn't like seeing pain and suffering and prefers to have a peaceful death for all those he faces. It isn't the way of a tournament where Third-Years will do anything to win, but it's a personality flaw that just befits one as noble and cool as him. While Raiden easily controlled the chapter, J wasn't too bad either...even if he can't get any of his punches on Henshouki and can't really rely on a "Fist of Fury" without being taunted! But he still has a long way to go...much longer obviously with Raiden's cliffhanger and the enigmatic Manjimaru waiting in the wings...but that's for next time!
