Commentary:
Kokuonsatsu……an assassination fist whose purpose is to kill and wound within a dark night or darkness where you can’t you your eyes at all. The method of training is to start by sensing indications by wearing an eye-mask, enter into Zen and have others drop needles to the ground. Starting from close to the ears, gradually increase the distance; if you can’t sense the indication of the needle from at least a ten meter distance, then you can’t master this fist. In other words, it’s naturally important that the five senses, including hearing, are cultivated into keened super senses that can read subtle air movements in an area.

Date: There’s a difference in character between me and you. I’ve assumed it in every situation, preparing for this. That’s a rudimentary problem in the means of battle.
Rasertsu: Ku, you don’t get it yet: who the goddess of victory is smiling upon…………!!

Date: It’s not a goddess…a death god is smiling on you!!
(TN: Date refers to “death god” as “Shinigami”, but with all the usage in pop culture, I decided to translate it as a literal “death god”)
Rasetsu: GUA!!

TN: It's really hard to say something that would be considered negative, particularly regards to an Otokojuku chapter...but I actually have a small complaint this time around: why was Toramaru so screwed with this fight? I mentioned it in the last chapter, but the whole factor of "Date could have freed himself all this time and just used his predicament to get Toramaru to knock himself out and shut him up" felt dirty. It was funny, sure and very much in the style of Otokojuku, but it just didn't feel right that they made things so overwhelming for Toramaru that Date was the only one who could legitimately fight Rasetsu. I'm not negating Rasetsu considering his power (and how he gets to meet his "death god"...though if you've ever watched anime like Bleach, you'd think some of them were goddesses), but I am negating Date for just stealing and controlling the whole fight...yeah he's still cool but he just feels like a force all his own. Little more I really can say now...but I will next chapter when this match is fully and officially over.
