(TN: “Konboujutsu” = “Kon-Method Technique”, with “kon” being another name for a bo staff commonly used in martial arts)
Eikei: Interesting, so you use a kon………………a kon is by the book of kenpou for opposing nunchucks. Well until now, I’ve had plenty of time of not having it used on me until now.
(TN: I’m really confused about Eikei’s second comment, it does sound though like Eikei knows of the kenpou style of using a kon/bo on nunchucks and probably is a bit relieved that no one has used this on him until now)
Eikei: However, you won’t use that on me.

Eikei: Do you see: this crystal-made wing can’t be seen at all due to its speed and rotation once I release it from my fingers, even if you can see it when it has stopped.

Eikei: Sleep peacefully, Gekkou…………I won’t forget your name. You’re the first to have cornered me this far.

First-Years: GEKKOU----!!

TN: As sad as it is to say, there is one crucial key that has unfortunately lead Gekkou to his death with this fight: an opponent must always leave surprises hidden so he can attack and use them when needed. Gekkou's plans, both on handling the nunchuck and later the crystal boomerangs, were flawless...but no one knew that Eikei was going to pull a second one he'd throw out simultaneously to attack him from behind! (and considering how invisible they are...yeah, it was just a deadly gambit that paid off) Though in some ways, I really did like that Gekkou went down doing what he did best, compared to the other two Sanmenken who went down either by dirty tricks (Henshouki taking advantage of Raiden's merciful nature) or as a means to damage the opponent for the next guy (Hien's final move that helped Togashi against Senkuu)...I really did like what the other two did do, but somehow Gekkou going down in combat either just shows what a man does to get by...or just how even the best warriors aren't prepared for everything. But...with him down, it's all up to Momo now...and being the big leader of the First-Years, he's not going to let this loss be in vain!
