First-Year 2: It…it’s finally starting!!
Tazawa: And…even with that, he’s a devil-like man just like his name. He stabbed to death his own underling without changing a bit of his expression……!!
(TN: Tazawa’s comment is actually in reference to the kanji in Jaki’s name, which reads as “wicked devil”)

Edajima: Regardless of pain or sadness, it isn’t manly to show it through your face. Regardless of how broken he is, how painful is it that you had to stab to death your underling who fought alongside you in life and death that you adored?
Edajima: That’s the man called Daigouin Jaki, the head of the Otokojuku Third-Years! You can’t reign as emperor of Otokojuku with merely just strength!!

Jaki: Come, Momotarou!! I will teach to you the truth of fighting.
Momotarou: …………I desire that…………I will devote the last of my desperate effort to only fighting…!!
Wan Taaren: This is the Boss Fight, the final fight of the Daiishin Paaren Seiha!! Head of the First-Years, Tsurugi Momotarou vs. Head of the Third-Years, Daigouin Jaki!! BEGIN THE MATCH!!

TN: It's really hard to say that Momo is soft while pretty much most of the other characters around him are hardened in their aspects of the death of their allies. Sure, compared to Date or Jaki, Momo actually wants to save his allies and probably still has a naive feeling that all should be helped, friend or enemy. But I guess this chapter sort of begs the question: which is more manly: a mercy killing or to help them live another day? We know Jaki really showed emotion in killing Eikei, similar to the emotion that Date feels whenever a member of the Sanmenken dies, yet neither of them really want to show it except in extreme measures that seem to take it really internally. I guess it's all just the coda of Otokojuku that Momo really knows and understands but has a bit of a hard time with compared to his seniors: he knows that everyone there is prepared to die and that they are willing to give their lives, but he still thinks he can save anyone, including those that he respects or who gives a fight even if he's an enemy. It really is hard to say who is right about all of this...but hey, at least we get to see Togashi, Toramaru and J after all this time.
