Matsuo: He created an air hole in that stone wall from that far away!!
Tazawa: What exactly is he!!
Edajima: That thing is a practically used vacuum phenomenon, which occurs as a distortion in atmospheric currents that is commonly called “kamaitachi”. By using this amazingly terrifying speed, his fist has made even the atmosphere his own.
(TN: While “kamaitachi” is commonly known as a popular Japanese youkai spirit, Edajima is using the word as means to explain the attack, thereby why I kept it as is in connection to the spirit and how people think of the condition usually)

Jaki: As expected of the one who carries the name of Head of Otokojuku First-Years. You avoided my blow now well.
Jaki: Come…Now it’s your turn to challenge me.
Jaki: What’s the matter!? Can’t you cross through the interval from this distance!

Jaki: So then, I’ll approach.
Momotarou: !!
First-Year 1: Wh…what is this guy? How could he walk towards Momo without taking a stance, is he making light of him!?
First-Year 2: Wh…why can’t Momo attack---!!
Jaki: Don’t you understand? That terrible bloodthirst that is enshrouding from Jaki’s entire body…………
Jaki: He isn’t leaving any openings. If he attacks poorly, it will be fatal.

Edajima: Haven’t you noticed it? As he takes that many consecutive attacks, Momo’s breathing doesn’t seem like it’s rising. No, on the contrary: his breathing and his movements are being fixed into a certain rhythm.
Edajima: As if he’s himself is condensing the “ki” in his body………
(TN: “Ki”, the kanji seen here, has a meaning of “spirit” or “mind”, similar to another “ki” with a similar but slightly different construction. While I’ll keep the regular “ki” as “spirit”, I’ll be using this “ki” as merely “ki”, to show difference)

Wan Taaren: So…so then…It…it can’t be that the one called Momotarou has……!!
Edajima: I don’t know…………However, if he does have it, then this match will be a grand one!!
Jaki: Why haven’t you thrown an attack? Do you have some plan?
Momotarou: ……………………I was thoroughly polishing my ki………!!
Jaki: ……Ki…!!

First-Years: Wh…what: Momo is setting up with his bandana---!!

Wan Taaren: It’s ki! He’s pouring ki into his bandana!! Th…that’s surely………!!
Jaki: HUH!!

Commentary:
Kikou Touhou…”Ki” is said to be the energy of a living body possessed within the body of a human. By nature it’s an energy possessed by all humans, but uncommon training is necessary for it to be used in martial arts.

It is said that ki is polished so it can be withdrawn; it can be done by they repetitively fixing a uniform breath and movement. This power is a wonderful thing: for example, a Chinese master of Kikou Touhou can change the hair on his head by inserting ki in them, making them like wire, then throwing them at his enemy’s vitals, killing them in a single blow while splitting a rock in two with a scrap of paper that he injected with the same ki.

Jaki: Well then, you’ve mastered Kikou Touhou………!! Fu…it’s been a long time since my blood has boiled…………!!

TN: Ki (also known as "qi" in Chinese but I'm keeping it in Japanese for the sake of this series)...a concept that seems a tad confusing yet at the same time essential and used in many martial arts series. The fact that Otokojuku is using it is a nice surprise, but the way it's using it is unique in it's own right, particularly with the "bandana" manipulation Momo used to slice Jaki's hand! I'm really not going to try to figure out the fundamentals aside from what Otokojuku uses it for, but the way that Momo did use it and manipulates it for this fight allows for him to face Jaki without that sword that Eikei eliminated...but of course, the lead character of a shonen always seems to have surprising abilities. Even more confusing, though, is the full explanation of Shinkuu Senpuushou: I get the general idea of it, but it feels more like a concentrated wind blast as opposed to a lot of the physics involved...maybe someone else can explain it better but basically all I see is "Jaki spins around fast to manipulate wind pressure, concentrates it into a "wind beam" and fires it"...well at least it's not something like a Kamehameha, that's for sure.
