TN: Well, barring whatever happens in the next chapter, I think we're about at or near the climax of the Paaren Seiha. And once again, we see that the fight showed a final blow that was not just merely well thought out...but somewhat appropriate. Some would probably confuse what exactly happened that lead to Jaki's electricution, but think of it as such: as long as Jaki holds on to his Soujousui (which I think is a wire fishing line with that pointed sinker at the end...another bizarre but brilliant weapon that only works in Otokojuku) and is using his Kikou Touhou abilities, the weapon has no choice but to react to ki whenever it assumes the position. Thereby, when Momo (who had no ki left to speak of...though maybe he did give it a push considering his plea near the end) threw the Soujousui into the air that last time, it had no choice but to fly upwards and harden using Jaki's ki, turning it into an instant lightning rod. Jaki can't let go considering he's still using the weapon and was pumping ki into it, such as when he stabbed Momo's hand and to let go of the Soujousui, particularly when Momo had his hands on the tip, would be relinquishing a weapon to the enemy, which he couldn't do as a warrior. Therefore, the combination of Momo's mind and Jaki's ki allows for Jaki to be shocked to a crisp! Though another interesting factor that probably isn't being sighted: is it just me or has the lightning played a role in all three of these final battles (Gekkou/Eikei: Gekkou used it to create an opening in Eikei using "speed of light" vs. "speed of sound"; Momo/Eikei: Momo used a lightning flash to find Eikei's poisoned hand; Momo/Jaki: the rod strategy)...and yet the whole danger of the battlefield only came into play with Gekkou/Eikei's opening...oh, and the skewered goat. Guess Wan Taaren needs to figure out how to up the danger for three years from now.
