No sooner does Otokojuku arrive for the Tenchou Gorin preliminaries that they're in their first match! But even more shocking: J has announced he will defeat their first 16-member opponent team...by himself!? Can he really do that!?

(TN: First of all, the full name of the team J is facing is the “Genseki-ryuu 16-Shuu”, but since the “Shuu” is “People”, I decided not to call them the “Genseki-ryuu 16-People” since it feels redundant. Secondly, “Genseki-ryuu” = “Parading Lizard-Style”)

TN: I think we've all learned a lesson here: if J wants to annihilate a team, let him do so. (that or the Genseki-ryuu 16's prestige really is just that and they really have no right to be in the tournament) The whole chapter is merely just letting the American boxer take out all his energy on an entire team, so there's little else one could say about it except that J is the man...well OK, there is one thing: considering the "teamwork" of the Genseki-ryuu, I really don't quite get why the first guy would even try to approach J on his own...other than to just have him less fight and more boast...just to end up J's first victim. (but I liked that nice touch at the end where J defeated the leader and didn't even attempt to fight his so called unbeatable shield) But hey, the first match is over and things can only get harder from here...
