TN: I sort of translated this yesterday so I guess I'm probably a bit off compared to having it fresh on my mind...but somehow, when I first saw this chapter, I originally thought I was going to hate it. On one hand, the chapter involved Rasetsu...whom I said before is someone whom I really don't mind that much and has a unique style, but was probably tied to one of the most infamous fights in the Paaren Seiha. (though it's less him than Date behind why that happened) On the other hand, the main fighter for this and the next chapter...is the typical "large fat guy" of the series: the one who seems intimidating but somehow feels like fodder or someone who gets tossed aside. (think Earthquake from Samurai Spirits/Showdown or Mr. Heart from "Hokuto no Ken") But when I translated the chapter and saw what was going on...it surprised me...a ton! The main surprise mostly turned out to be Gyuuhou himself, who, while being the "fat guy" cliche a lot of manga has, turned out to be an impressive fighter by using his "transforming his muscles into rubber" technique...heck, for a while he reminded me a bit of Luffy! (well OK, maybe not like Luffy but rubber power isn't that common in shonen so he was the first to come to mind) I also liked Rasetsu (as I said, his fight was less about him and the Toushi Kiha are always going to be unintentionally hilarious) and just found his means by which using his fight as another celebration for Eikei to be a bit bittersweet. And of course there was the new wrinkle as well regarding the portrayal of Gandhara and the mistrust between the new High Priest (whom we know is a youngster compared to the elders at HQ that is revealing the mysterious troupe to the world thinking they can conquer with their bizarre techniques) and the elders and consequently and potentially the Sanpousei. It's obvious that he just doesn't want any interference and that the elders possibly think he is too reckless, leading to the three assassins being sent down from the mountains. Of course, hopefully we get to find out the full story about the High Priest soon enough...but first we have the matter of Rasetsu and Gyuuhou...let alone also Enpou and Ryuuhou!
