Commentary: Houryuu Kouento…a secret technique said to have been created by Ranke Nansouha, who were said to be heretics within Chinese Kenpou. Its characteristic is the inhalation of Kokusakujin and spitting it out with tremendous force while, at the same time, creating a spark by dual blades on both sides igniting it, firing out flames. Further, his is a technique that includes an attack of two swords to the faltering opponent. The crucial point of this technique is to have a wonderful lung capacity: it’s impossible to acquire if you can’t put out the flame of a candle that’s 10m away in one breath. Kokusakujin is a nitrolic-style of powdery gunpowder: it won’t harm the body even if it’s inhaled, but since it possesses a property of igniting with a small shock, it is necessary to have utmost caution when handling it.

TN: I sort of hope Date takes that spear back: having him fight without it will give me nightmares of his fight with Rasetsu. Aside from that...was I the only one getting deja vu of the just completed fight with Gyuuhou? I mean, I know many plot stories in this series do seem to repeat due to the basis and situational matters of the battle, but to have a similar punchline for both Gyuuhou and Ryuuhou...I don't know if this is what was intended. Yeah, it worked and the fight did turn out alright but I guess I didn't expect the rerun so soon, particularly considering that at least the Gyuuhou fight developed that his special weapon just amplified his fatness...while the dragon breath powder was just a "second chapter addition" to keep the fight going. (but then again...it's Date, if you're not on your A-game from the start, you will die) But at least this means only the Gandhara High Priest is left...
